  • Patent number: 10130025
Abstract: An agricultural implement for use with a tractor. The agricultural implement comprises a main body, a hitch, a plurality of wheel support assemblies, and a pair of wheels coupled to each of the wheel support assemblies. Each of the wheel support assemblies includes a longitudinal support assembly extending rearward from the main body. The wheel support assemblies further include a transverse support assembly coupled to the longitudinal support assembly, with each of the wheels of the pair of wheels being disposed on opposite sides of the transverse support assembly, and with the transverse support assembly being rotatable relative to the main body, such that raising one wheel of the pair of wheels causes the corresponding lowering of another wheel of the pair of wheels. The wheel support assemblies also include a rotational damping mechanism for restricting rotation of the transverse assembly and the pair of wheels relative to the main body.

  • Patent number: 9926026
Abstract: A trailer includes at least a plurality of fabric support connections that retain a plurality of fabrics spaced apart from one another so as, if desired, to insulate the roof and side walls of the trailer. In one embodiment, the plurality of fabric support connections are connected by way of extrusions to some of the sides of the trailer and further provide insulation by forming a double wall on those sides. In another embodiment, the plurality of fabric support connections form a double wall only on certain portions of the top side of the trailer.

  • Patent number: 9907223
Abstract: An agricultural implement system includes a tow bar configured to couple to a hitch assembly. The agricultural implement system also includes a first wing tool bar rotatable relative to the tow bar and disposed proximate to a first side of the tow bar. The first wing tool bar has a first send proximate to the first side of the tow bar and a second end opposite the first end. Further, the agricultural implement system includes a caster wheel assembly having a caster wheel pivotally coupled to a sub-frame. The first sub-frame is pivotally coupled to the first wing tool bar proximate to the second end of the first wing tool bar, and is coupled to the first wing tool bar such that the axis of rotation of the sub-frame extends through the first wing tool bar.

  • Patent number: 9872423
Abstract: An adjustable scraper structure is attached to a press wheel arm and suspends an adjustable scraper above the press wheel for removing mud buildup above the treads on the tire. The scraper is rotatably adjustable about the rotational axis of the press wheel and the blade pitch is rotatably adjustable about an axis parallel to and removed from the press wheel axis. The pitch or tilt of the scraper blade may be radially aligned with the blade extending perpendicular to a wheel periphery tangent line or the press wheel scraper blade may be inclined somewhat in either direction.

  • Patent number: 6745849
Abstract: A towed, agricultural implement includes an undercarriage supported on ground wheels that are attached to the undercarriage by trailing support arms. An adjusting motor is coupled between the undercarriage and a transverse torsion rod having its opposite ends coupled to the wheel support arms by braces. The adjusting motor is selectively operable for raising and lowering the ground wheels relative to the undercarriage, with the torsion rod acting to absorb shocks between the undercarriage and the wheel support arms.

  • Patent number: 5647440
Abstract: An improved frame for a drawn agricultural implement, such as a planter, includes a telescoping main frame. The main wheel set is mounted to a sliding carriage to support the central main frame, and may be moved between a forward and a rear position. As the main frame extends, the wing sections fold forwardly. When the wing sections in the illustrated embodiment are completely folded, hydraulic cylinders slide the main wheel set forwardly so that the down load on the hitch is reduced for road transport. Conversely, during the unfold cycle, the hydraulic cylinders return the wheel set to the rear position, and the wings are then extended (i.e., unfolded) for field use.

  • Patent number: 5590611
Abstract: A liquid fertilizer injection system is provided that includes a single coulter blade mounted on a support arm extending from a bracket which is adapted to be pivotally coupled to an attachment apparatus which attaches the system to a propulsion means. A spray arm is adapted at one end is attached to the support arm and is adjustable in the up and down direction by means of a slot bracket. A second end of the spray arm is attached to a spray nozzle which is adapted to receive a flexible tube. The flexible tube transfers, to the nozzle, liquid fertilizer, under pressure, from a liquid reservoir via a pump. The system further includes a tension spring assembly which provides a down-force, determined by the user, to the coulter assembly, while isolating the system from the propulsion means, thereby preventing lifting of a planter or seeder to which the system is connected off of the ground.

  • Patent number: 4009759
Abstract: A cultivator apparatus attached to a draw bar hitched to a tractor and having a tool bar attached to the draw bar and movable therewith. A cultivating mechanism is attached to the tool bar and is movable between positions of engagement and disengagement with the ground when the tool bar is moved. A plurality of cultivating units comprise the cultivating mechanism and are independently movable about the tool bar. A lateral support mechanism is comprised of gauge wheels mounted intermediate the ends of each of the cultivating units. Each gauge wheel is laterally offset with respect to the cultivating unit to which it is attached.
