With Vertically Extending Teeth Patents (Class 172/523)
  • Patent number: 11785871
Abstract: An adjustment assembly configured to be coupled with a longitudinal support assembly of a cultivator assembly is disclosed. The adjustment assembly includes a swing arm rotationally coupled to the longitudinal support assembly, a first gang unit rotationally coupled with the swing arm and a second gang unit spaced apart from the first gang unit and rotationally coupled with the swing arm. A first gang adjustment mechanism rotates the first gang unit with respect to the longitudinal support assembly and a second gang adjustment mechanism rotates the second gang unit with respect to the longitudinal support assembly.

  • Patent number: 6651753
Abstract: An excavating apparatus having a rotating cutting head for precision removal of soil, for site preparation prior to construction projects where level grade is required. The powered cutting head is mounted on a longitudinal frame, with travel of the cutting head guided along the length of the frame. Adjustable positioning is provided to maintain position of the cutting head longitudinally along the frame. The frame is pivotally anchored to the ground at one end and is supported by wheels at the other end. Wheels are positioned to facilitate rotation of the frame and cutting head around the anchoring pivot, which is located at the center of the area to be excavated. The elevation of the frame is adjustable to selectively raise and lower the depth of the cutting head. The apparatus is easily transported and has the ability to perform precision excavating operations in confined areas.

  • Patent number: 5540287
Abstract: A ground working device for powered hand-held rotary devices includes four resilient ground working members mounted upon and extending downwardly from a mount and includes a weighted hub which along with the mount is detachably attached to the bottom of a rotatable shaft of a rotary device for rotation therewith and includes a flexible shroud fastenable to a housing of the rotatable shaft and shrouding the ground working members to prevent debris from being sent airborne and possibly injuring the user or others nearby. The ground working device conveniently and easily tills, weeds, and cultivates the ground especially lawns and gardens.

  • Patent number: 5056605
Abstract: A multipurpose cutting device for use with power drives is disclosed. Specific and different blade configurations are provided on opposite sides of an elongated bar or a disk type support for performing different cutting functions. By securing one side of the elongated bar or disk to the end of a shaft, one function can be performed. By securing the other opposite side of the elongated bar or disk to the shaft a different function can be performed. By securing or using the elongated bar or disk at an angle to the material being cut both blade configurations can be used simultaneously to perform yet another function. The blades on the one side and the blades on the other side of the elongated bar or disk may each have the blade configuration facing in one direction of rotation of one shape and the configuration facing in the other direction of another shape for different cutting characteristics when the direction of rotation is reversed.

  • Patent number: 4291637
Abstract: A cultivating implement has rows of tined soil working members that are freely rotatable about upwardly extending shafts. Each soil working member has tines positioned around the shaft which defines its axis of rotation. At the lower end of the shaft, a channelled feed member is attached and the shaft is hollow. Material from a container is dispensed from the container through the shaft and the feed member via a port to the ground being worked by the tines. The feed member is elongated and extends down, generally parallel to the tines of the corresponding soil working member which are mounted on circular plate supports. A further soil working member, preferably a supporting roller, is mounted behind the rows of soil working members.
