Abstract: A strip soil loosening and crushing mechanism of a no-tillage planting machine has a connecting bracket, a cutter head assembly, and a soil crushing wheel assembly. The cutter head assembly has two star-shaped cutter heads of the same structure, which are symmetrically arranged at outer sides of the two supporting plates. The soil crushing wheel assembly has a spring combined structure, a soil crushing wheel combined structure and two crank brackets rotatably connected at the outer sides of the two supporting plates of the connecting bracket by a connecting shaft.
Abstract: A sectored disc assembly, removable disc sector, and method of replacing a disc sector are disclosed for use with a soil opener that uses a disc assembly to open the soil prior to injection of a fertilizer or seed into the ground. The sectored disc assembly includes a rotatable hub and a plurality of disc sectors cooperatively forming a substantially continuous disc around the hub. Connectors, such as bolts, secure each of the disc sectors to the hub. The disc sector includes a body with radially inner and outer margins and side margins that are configured for continuous abutment with adjacent side margins of other disc sectors. The method of replacing a disc sector includes removing the connector securing the disc sector to the hub, moving the disc sector radially outwardly away from the hub, placing a replacement disc sector into contact with the hub, and inserting the connector.
Abstract: A snow shaping means intended to be towed e.g. behind a vehicle and consisting of a cylindrical snow compacting means mounted in a frame and having track shaping elements on its periphery. Now that the so-called diagonal style has been introduced in skiing, track grooves as well as smooth spots are needed on a ski trail. As taught by the invention, the track shaping elements consist of parts disposed loosely on the periphery of the cylindrical drum and movable between an upper position and a lower position, and which in their lower position shape the track grooves.
Abstract: End-to-end disc spools are mounted on a shaft and each spool includes an annular recess around one end thereof into which disc segments are engaged by the inner ends thereof nesting into said recess and being held by recessed bolts. Lugs on the other end of each spool engage recesses on the one end of the next adjacent spool for centralizing same and ensuring mutual rotation. In one embodiment, spaced apart spools include bearing carriers for mounting the assembly for rotation within the implement.
Abstract: An agricultural tillage disc having a replaceable annular blade. The central hub of the disc consists of two sections clamped together so that the inner edge of the annular blade is securely held therebetween.
Abstract: A rotary tool for marking a straight or curved groove in a garden in which seeds are to be laid. The tool includes an enclosed drum, which may be filled with water, with the drum rotatably mounted to a yoke fixed to a handle. A rim centrally fitted with an external V-shaped projecting flange is detachably fastened to the cylindrical drum wall. Alternate detachable rims are provided with each rim fitted with a flange of a different size so as to each form a groove of a different depth when rolled across a garden seed bed.
