Disk Gang With Movable Or Removable Section Patents (Class 172/568)
  • Publication number: 20150053442
Abstract: An agricultural tillage implement including a carriage frame assembly and pull hitch towed by a tractor and forward and aft secondary frames supported by the carriage frame assembly. The forward and aft secondary frames mount gangs of disk blades for tilling the soil. The secondary frames establish a plane and the aft secondary frame is connected to the carriage frame assembly at a greater distance from the plane than the forward secondary frame so that the depth of penetration of the disk blades is uniform during field operation. The tillage implement has outboard wing sections pivotally connected to the secondary frames and annular shims are provided to establish the wing sections and secondary frames in common plane during field operation, the annular shim being rotatable about central axis to present a common surface to the implements irrespective of the orientation of the shims.

  • Patent number: 7607489
Abstract: An agricultural implement includes first and second outer harrows positioned adjacent front and left sides and front and right sides of a frame, respectively, at generally opposite diagonal directions. Third and fourth harrows are similarly positioned adjacent rear and left sides and rear and right sides of the frame, respectively, at generally opposite diagonal directions. The implement may include inner harrows positioned to close gaps left by the outer harrows and positioned at generally opposite diagonal configurations. Each harrow includes a plurality of discs and a chain with a plurality of links that are rotatable about the longitudinal direction of the chain so as to affect multi-purpose actioning of the soil by being able to level the surface rather than dragging material while also breaking up or uprooting weeds or stubble. Left and right sides of the frame are foldable upwardly and inwardly for transport and storage.

  • Patent number: 6854528
Abstract: A livestock bedding conditioning apparatus is disclosed, the apparatus comprising a self-propelled drive vehicle with a rotor arm attached to a frame on the vehicle. The rotor arm comprises a plurality of rotors, the device having hydraulic motor for rotating the rotors. Each rotor has a bit at its end, which engages the livestock bedding material. The rotation of the bit within the bedding material loosens, fluffs up and aerates the bedding material, resulting in a healthier and more comfortable bedding material for the livestock.

  • Patent number: 5873417
Abstract: A cultivator attachment is mounted on a skid steer tractor and includes a main frame, a vertical receptacle attached to the frame to receive and attach to the mounting plate member of the skid steer tractor and a plurality of cultivator discs carried on the frame for working ground underneath the frame and forwardly of the skid steer tractor unit. Two rows of disk extend across the frame generally transverse to the forward direction. One of the rows of discs includes teeth projecting outwardly from at least some of the discs. Each row includes two disc sections arranged such that an axis of rotation of the discs is inclined to the forward direction and converge to an apex centrally of the frame. The disc sections are adjustable from a first position in which the apexes of the rows are adjacent to a second position in which the apexes are spaced apart so as to reverse the direction of cut of the discs and allow movement of the frame in a reverse direction opposite to the forward direction.

  • Patent number: 5477931
Abstract: This is a machine for forming V-ditches for the irrigation of soil. The machine consists of a central frame with a two wheel carriage and plows of subassemblies. Each plow consists of a right subassembly and a left subassembly universally connected to the right and left sides respectively of the central frame. Each plow forms an acute horizontal angle with the central frame. The acute angle is fixed by the use of chains, having one part adjacent to an end attached to the central frame and another part of the chain adjacent to the opposite end, attached to the extended end of the subassembly. Each subassembly contains concavo-convex rotatable discs mounted parallel to each other on a common axle. The discs are assembled so that the concave side of the discs penetrate the soil when the machine is moved forward by a suitable draft device.

  • Patent number: 4420048
Abstract: A disk gang assembly constructed in such fashion as to eliminate the long center tie bolt. An arrangement is provided comprising a plurality of like disks spaced axially apart on a common axis and held in spaced apart relation by a plurality of interspaced spacers. Each spacer is provided at opposite ends with radial flanges to receive and sandwich disks respectively therebetween. The disks and flanges have notching bolt holes through which sets of bolts or the like are passed to secure the disks and spacers together as a rigid axial unit. The spacers are mutually axially piloted on each other and opposite ends to maintain the coaxial status and each pilot includes an annular shoulder for receiving a complementary central circular opening in each disk. End spools are also provided for carrying bearings for mounting the assembly in a supporting frame.

  • Patent number: 4211287
Abstract: A horizontally folding implement has a pair of tool-supporting beams that project laterally outwardly from opposite sides of the central, fore-and-aft extending frame of the implement when the beams are in their widespread, working positions. A pair of vertical pivots on opposite sides of the longitudinal axis of the frame adapt the beams for horizontal swinging between such working position and a folded, transport position, while a pair of horizontal pivots adapt the beams for limited vertical swinging movement in order to accommodate variations in ground contour. A pivotal coupling between the proximal inner ends of the beams when the latter are in their working positions keeps the two inner ends at the same height relative to one another during terrain variations encountered by the ground wheels or the tools of the beams, but the coupling does not inhibit horizontal swinging of the beams between their working and transport positions.
