For Plural Tools Patents (Class 172/609)
  • Patent number: 5287934
Abstract: There is disclosed a plow constructed for displacement, by a traction vehicle, a predetermined direction. It comprises a cultivator having a generally U-shaped frame with a pair of lateral arms parallel to the above direction and interconnected by a bight. The cultivator further has a soil-chiselling assembly mounted on and transversely between the arms, this assembly including a horizontal rotary shaft provided with longitudinally spaced sets of coplanar flat radial shares. The cultivator is mounted on retractable wheels movable between the first position, wherein the wheels engage the soil for displacement of said cultivator with the soil-chiselling assembly stands inoperative above the soil, and a second position, wherein the wheels are retracted and stand above the soil and the soil-chiselling assembly operatively engages the soil.

  • Patent number: 5060586
Abstract: The invention comprises an adjustable scraper device for scraping the disc blades of a grain drill. The device has a fixed mounting on the mounting for supporting the disc blades and a slidable mounting slidable along the fixed mounting to a selected adjusted position relative to the disc blade support mounting and the disc blades. Scrapers are mounted to the slidable mounting between the disc blades to be slid with the slidable mounting toward the center axis of the disc blades so that as the disc blade outer circumferential edge wears down, the scrapers, which act to scrape the disc blades, may be adjusted toward the center axis of the disc blades to keep the entire scraping portion of the scrapers within the confines of the outer circumferential edge of the disc blades, so that the scraping portion of the scraper will not wear on the outer edge of the disc blades and cause damage to the scraping portion of the scraper.

  • Patent number: 4716971
Abstract: A tillage implement comprising a plurality of coulters or discs is provided with disc cleaning means to prevent the accumulation of dirt and debris between adjacent coulters or discs. The disc cleaning means can comprise a rotatable belt mounted between adjacent coulters or discs and drive means operable to cause rotation of the belt. The drive means may comprise a drive gear secured to a power source. As the belt rotates, it removes soil from between adjacent coulters or discs.

  • Patent number: 4339004
Abstract: A soil compacting roller comprises a cylinder rotatably mounted between the lower ends of substantially vertical limbs of two side supports. The cylinder is surrounded by a plurality of larger diameter rings which extend in relatively spaced apart, side-by-side relationship along the length of the cylinder. The roller also includes an internal tubular or rod supporting member spaced above the cylinder so that the rings are rotatable about that member and the cylinder entirely independently of one another. Guide members extend between the successively neighboring rings to keep them in position axially of the cylinder and to assist in dislodging adhering mud from the interiors and exteriors of the rings. The guide members can be in the form of pivotally mounted strips, spring steel rods, annular flanges carried at regular intervals along the cylinder, pairs of lugs carried by the supporting member or rotatably mounted circumferentially toothed discs which extend between the successive rings.
