Abstract: An agricultural implement includes a frame having a pair of tool-carrying wings pivotally mounted thereon for pivotal movement between raised transport positions and lowered ground-working positions. Each wing has a hydraulic wing actuator connected thereto which is extendable and retractible for effecting the pivotal motion. A hydraulic wing actuator circuit is connected to each of the wing actuators, which circuit, when connected to a tractor hydraulic system, enables the wing actuators to apply down pressure to said wings when the wings are in the lowered working positions. A hydraulic pressure control valve system controls the down pressure exerted by the wing actuators.

Abstract: Down-force control is provided by a top-link, which presses down the rear end of a tool-bar carrying multiple rows of seeder tools. The height of the tool bar is set front and rear during operation. The top-link includes a hydraulic ram. The ram is supplied with pressure from a pressure-reducing-relieving valve, whereby the downward-force on the rear of the tool-bar remains constant during operation. The tool bar has side wings which are pressed down by a pressure that is regulated by the same valve. The system allows the seeder to maintain constant implantation depth, even over uneven ground.
Abstract: An apparatus for positioning a work object relative to a primary support between first and second positions, the apparatus having a first mount adapted to be mounted on the work object; a second mount adapted to be mounted on the primary support; a linking assembly interconnecting the first and second mounts; and a control system interconnecting the work object and the linking assembly for selectively applying force to the linking assembly to move the work object between the first and second positions.
Abstract: A mobile frame (10) for supporting an elongate flexible structure (11) such as a ground working tool assembly, the mobile frame (10) is foldable between a first position in which the elongate flexible structure (11) is supported in a working condition in relation to the ground, and a second position in which the elongate flexible structure (11) is supported in a stored condition in relation to the ground. The mobile frame comprises a first frame portion (31) supported for movement over the ground and a second frame portion (32) for supporting one end of the elongate flexible structure. The second frame portion is mounted on the first frame portion for folding movement with respect thereto about a pivot axis inclined to the fore-and-aft axis of the mobile frame such that the spacing between the ends of the elongate flexible structure (11) increases as the elongate flexible structure is moved from the first position to the second position.
