Patent number: 9319903Abstract: A network for monitoring and controlling agricultural operations employs a wireless mesh network to provide feedback related to an agricultural field located remotely from a computer system/server. In some embodiments, the wireless mesh network may employ for example, the IEEE 802.11s and 802.11n standard to communicate data from a sensor in the agricultural field to and between remote access points in the mesh network.Type: GrantFiled: April 2, 2015Date of Patent: April 19, 2016Assignee: Ayrstone Productivity LLCInventor: William Stanley Moffitt

Patent number: 5676211Abstract: A relatively short tunnel shield is connected to a light weight floating arm including a first tube telescopingly received within a second tube. Multiple holes in the double tube arm allow optimum positioning of the shield relative to a ground engaging element such as a single wide sweep to match different operating speeds without need of a longer and heavier shield. The second tube is pivotally connected to the rig by double plate mounting assembly to minimize side-to-side play. Slots in the double plate mounting assembly provide infinitely adjustable down stop for precision shield height control. The arm can be raised, and by installing a cross pin in the mounting assembly, the shield is maintained in a storage position out of the way of more mature crops.Type: GrantFiled: March 25, 1996Date of Patent: October 14, 1997Assignee: Deere & CompanyInventors: James Thomas Noonan, Terry Lee Lowe

Patent number: 4857193Abstract: A chicane system is provided in a belt filter press in a gravity drainage zone. The gravity drainage zone includes a movable filter belt, an inlet section for receiving a suspension on the filter belt, and an outlet for discharging separated liquid and solid components of the suspension. A support member is mounted over the filter belt and has a longitudinal axis generally perpendicular to the filter belt movement. A plurality of flow turners depend from the support member and engage the filter belt to prevent clogging of the filter belt by the suspension solid component. Each flow turner includes a plow portion extending into the suspension and engaging the filter belt and a coupling portion fixed to the support member. The opposite ends of the support member are slidably coupled to the retaining walls for floating translatory movement of the support member and flow turners in a vertical direction toward and away from the filter belt during operation.Type: GrantFiled: June 1, 1987Date of Patent: August 15, 1989Assignee: Arus-Andritz Ruthner, Inc.Inventors: Brice P. Patent number: 4282936Abstract: A quick acting coupler for a cultivator attachment, such as a cultivator fender, shield, or the like, in which the attachment is carried by a mounting frame with the latter being securable to the tool or cultivator bar of a cultivator implement for coupling of the attachment to the cultivator at a desired location on the cultivator. The coupler includes a hitch member for each attachment, each hitch member being securable to the tool bar of the cultivator at a desired position therealong. The mounting frame is connected to the hitch member by inserting one or more headed pins carried by the mounting frame into corresponding elongate vertical slots in the hitch member. The vertical slots each have an enlarged portion at their upper ends so as to receive the head of a respective headed pin and a narrower lower portion so as to receive the shank of the headed pin.Type: GrantFiled: June 20, 1979Date of Patent: August 11, 1981Inventors: Daniel M. Patent number: 4183413Abstract: A cultivating machine such as a powered vehicle has several ground engaging hoes and is arranged for moving these hoes relative to a row of plants to be cultivated. The cultivator includes a device for elevating the hoes with respect to the ground and for moving at least two of the hoes in oppositely disposed sideward motion while they are engaged in the ground so as to enable them to cultivate the area between the individual plants in a given row. Pneumatic piston and cylinder assemblies are used impart sideward movement to the sidewardly movable hoes and suitable control valves connect the pneumatic piston and cylinder assemblies with a source of compressed air carried by the vehicle.Type: GrantFiled: February 8, 1978Date of Patent: January 15, 1980Inventor: Melvin C. Patent number: 4126190Abstract: A cultivator frame assembly particularly adapted for cultivation of bed-planted crops comprises a parallelogram linkage frame adapted to be attached to a conventional tool bar and a bed cultivator frame carried by the parallelogram linkage frame. The bed cultivator frame provides a series of longitudinally spaced tool bars for mounting the gauge wheel and such cultivating tools as will properly cultivate the multiple crop rows of each bed. The two frames are readily detached so that various forms of the bed cultivator frame may be employed with the common parallelogram linkage frame, as need arises.Type: GrantFiled: August 27, 1976Date of Patent: November 21, 1978Assignee: Lilliston CorporationInventor: M. Patent number: 4077651Abstract: A tractor-trailed plow having a steerable rear wheel is provided with a hydraulically powered steering system including master and slave cylinders arranged to steer the rear wheel in response to changes in the angular position of the plow with respect to the tractor. A rephasing valve system is provided that is responsive to turning of the tractor for proper phasing of the master and slave cylinders.Type: GrantFiled: October 1, 1976Date of Patent: March 7, 1978Assignee: Deere & CompanyInventors: James Gerald Steinbach, Gary Allen Rehn, William Wayne Jackson

Patent number: 4033417Abstract: A support is connectable with an agricultural machine, and a plurality of agricultural tools is provided which are mounted by mounting elements on the support so that they can be adjusted relative to the support. A single arresting element is provided which arrests all of the tools in their respective positions. The tools have mounting portions extending into a passage in the support and either the passage itself or an auxiliary element in the passage has a wedge face to engage the tool mounting portions.Type: GrantFiled: April 2, 1975Date of Patent: July 5, 1977Assignee: Maschinenfabrik Rau oHGInventors: Willy Rau, Christian Taus
