Patent number: 11946220Abstract: The device includes two opposing lateral wings forming the right and left sides of the scraping device. Each wing includes an upper section through which the wing is attached to the central support about a vertical pivot axis, and a bottom section that is pivotable with respect to the upper section about a first horizontal pivot axis. Each wing can follow the unevenness of the roadway surface and may also include parts that can pivot backwards in case of a frontal impact with an obstacle. The scraping device offers a very high degree of versatility and can clean various kinds of roadway surfaces with an unprecedented level of efficiency.Type: GrantFiled: November 22, 2021Date of Patent: April 2, 2024Assignee: 9407-4895 QUEBEC INC.Inventor: Jimmy Vigneault

Patent number: 4615286Abstract: An attachment for a tractor drawn grain drill is disclosed having a horizontal array of harrow tines staggered along a plurality of transverse rows with each row commonly supported by a rotatable control rod with a tine coiled portion encircling the control rod and one tine end fixed thereto while the other tine end extends away from the rod a distance sufficient to engage and till the earth when the other tine end is directed generally downwardly. Each control rod has a lever arm extending away from the rod and pivotally coupled to one or more control links so that link movement induces rotation of the control rods for pivoting the entirety of tines simultaneously between earth engaging and generally horizontal stowed positions. A hydraulic arrangement remotely controllable by a tractor operator is provided for moving the control links to raise or lower the tines and the hydraulic arrangement may further be coupled to enable or disable the grain drill.Type: GrantFiled: May 8, 1985Date of Patent: October 7, 1986Inventor: Kenneth D. Patent number: 4311104Abstract: A press grain drill includes a plurality of opener units mounted on an elongated tow tube and including a plurality of elongated, pivotably coupled elements forming a pair of parallelograms which support a self-penetrating shovel and a press wheel respectively. A first one of the parallelograms permits up and down movement of the shovel relative to the tow tube while maintaining the pitch of the shovel relative to the ground substantially constant. A second one of the parallelograms responds to each movement of the shovel to move the press wheel in the same direction and relative to the shovel so as to maintain the depth of the shovel within the ground substantially constant. Whenever the tow tube which is coupled by pairs of parallel links to an elongated main frame tool bar is raised relative to the tool bar for towing, a lift tube coupled to the links via bracket numbers engages the opener units to lift them relative to the tow tube.Type: GrantFiled: January 21, 1977Date of Patent: January 19, 1982Assignee: Deere & CompanyInventors: Ronald M. Patent number: 4171021Abstract: A cultivating implement has a supporting frame and elongated tined beams, extending transverse to the direction of travel, located below the frame. Each tined beam is connected to respective eccentric mechanisms mounted on two rotatable shafts that extend in the direction of travel and the shafts are supported on frame beams. One of the shafts is connected to a driving shaft via a gear box that houses a step-up gear transmission and drives the other shaft via the beams. The tined beams are moved through circular paths out of phase with respect to one another and can mount tines that crumble soil or strip-shaped tines that cut vegetation. A supporting roller is adjustably mounted on the frame to trail the tines and further work the soil.Type: GrantFiled: October 13, 1977Date of Patent: October 16, 1979Inventor: Cornelis van der Lely

Patent number: 4043401Abstract: A cultivating implement has side-by-side soil working members journalled in a hollow frame portion. Each member includes a support with hub that is connected to the lower end of a corresponding shaft. The shafts of the soil working members have meshed pinions on their upper ends that are housed in an upper chamber of the frame portion. The support and hub are housed substantially in their entireties within the frame portion and the lower side of each hub has apertured tags with pins that comprise quick release fastenings for downwardly extending tines.Type: GrantFiled: July 17, 1975Date of Patent: August 23, 1977Inventor: Cornelis van der Lely

Patent number: 4036303Abstract: A soil-cultivating machine has an elongated frame that extends horizontally and transverse to the direction of travel. A row of adjacent soil-working members are mounted on corresponding upwardly extending shafts which are geared to a common drive shaft and the members are driven in relative opposite directions to work a broad path of soil. Alternate soil-working members are slideable along beams of the frame so that debris does not jam the drive connections. The drive to the soil-working members includes an imput shaft to a gear box, which can comprise a reduction gear, and an elongated drive shaft that extends parallel to the frame and along which the slideable members are displaceable. The corresponding gears to the working members includes a pinion transmission on the drive shaft which is slideable within limits defined by an elongated key arrangement. Compression springs bias each slideable working member to a normal central position.Type: GrantFiled: September 16, 1975Date of Patent: July 19, 1977Assignee: C. van der Lely N.
