  • Patent number: 10087587
Abstract: A skid steer rolling compactor attachment may include a universal attachment plate configured to attach to the skid steer. A boom extending from the attachment plate may pivot about at least one articulating hinge attached to the boom. The boom may be configured to move a roller to compact a ground surface as the skid steer travels in a forward direction. In order to prevent roll-overs on uneven surfaces, the skid steer may be operated on a level surface and articulate the boom such that the roller contacts the ground parallel to the direction of travel. The skid steer may then compact inclined surfaces while travelling on level surfaces thus improving worker safety.

The disk unit mounting beam and attached disk units are hingedly connected to a parallel offset shaft of the beam pushing frame for tilting the disk blades to provide restricted floatation on the earth materials. A sliding feature of the hinged connection between the disk unit mounting beam and the beam pushing frame accommodates hydraulic power means of shifting the load relative to the pushing axis of the earth moving machine.

Abstract: A front folding tool carrier bar for agricultural applications includes a frame having opposite sides and having ground-engaging wheels mounter thereon. Mounted on the frame is a device for coupling the frame to a vehicle. Also mounted on the frame are a pair of forwardly folding wing bars having first and second ends, each of the first ends pivotally mounted on the frame such that the wing bars may pivot about a substantially vertical pivot axis between a forwardly folding transport position and a transversely extended working position. Each wing bar is pivotally mounted at opposite sides of the frame. For securing the wing bars in transversely extended working position, a pair of outrigger braces extend outwardly from the frame and are connected to opposite wing bars whereby the wing bars may be braced in working position. Mounted on each wing bar is at least one ground-engaging wheel. Finally, a device for pivoting the wing bars between the transport position and the working position is provided.

Abstract: Planting mounds for afforestation purposes and the like are formed by an apparatus wherein a device having at least one mound-forming and compacting body is provided on a movable support arm or boom of a carrier vehicle adapted to be driven along the ground. The body has an elongate, longitudinally concave soil-pushing front surface of shape and dimensions suitable to define the upper surface of a planting mound, and preferably has digging teeth or the like at its lower forward edge. The body is supported for pivotal movement relative to the arm or boom and may be pivoted by a piston-cylinder assembly or the like. For mound formation, the body is placed in a digging position with the soil-pushing surface facing in a first direction substantially parallel to the ground.

Abstract: An implement lift system for a machine such as a front mouted mower having a pair of transversely spaced lift arms operable by a single life cylinder. The lift cylinder is transversely adjustable utilizing a special cylinder bracket arrangement and a transverse member extending between bend locations on the lift arms forwardly of the pivotal connections of the lift arms with the vehicle. The transverse member is connected to provide lift to both arms from the single cylinder while permitting independent vertical movement of each of the arms. Compensation for unequal forces acting on the lift arms can be provided by moving the cylinder laterally to achieve even lift and flotation characteristics.
