  • Patent number: 8695862
Abstract: An oscillation reducing suspension device for a fan motor of a combustion-powered tool includes a rigid axial-play setting unit mounted on an upper major surface of a cylinder head, and having upper and lower limit defining members that are spaced apart from each other by an axial play route, a suspending mount configured to keep the fan motor oriented in a rotary axis, and having a lug which extends radially into the axial play route to divide the axial play route into proximate and distal regions, and an elastomeric damper unit having upper and lower damping members respectively disposed in the distal and proximate regions. By virtue of the rigid mount supporting the fan motor, and the resilient damper unit coupling the mount and the cylinder head, the fan motor is firmly secured to the cylinder head, and axial oscillation of the fan motor is reduced.

Abstract: A handheld tool with a pneumatically operated linear oscillating drive is provided. The handheld tool has a motor housing and a piston movable in the motor housing, which separates the two working chambers of the motor housing from one another. A piston crown faces toward one chamber of the two working chambers, with a compressed air supply line toward the motor housing and a slide valve, which controls an alternating supply of compressed air to one and the other of the two working chambers, and with an exhaust air opening in the motor housing. The handheld power tool is distinguished in that the piston additionally has a piston skirt facing toward the other chamber of the two working chambers.

Abstract: A power tool capable of performing vibration damping action in working operation, without an increase in size. The working tool includes a motor, a housing in which an internal mechanism driven by the motor is stored, a tool bit disposed on one end of the housing, a hand grip continuously connected to the other end of the housing, and a dynamic damper. The dynamic damper is disposed by utilizing a space between the housing and the internal mechanism so that the damping direction of the dynamic damper faces the longitudinal direction of the tool bit.

Abstract: A sonic drill head comprising an outer housing, an isolation system, a sine generator and a spindle. The sine generator generates a linear sinusoidal vibration force through the rotation of a plurality of eccentric masses. The sine generator is configured to translate the linear sinusoidal force to the spindle in a direction corresponding to the spindle's axis of rotation. The sine generator supports the spindle within the housing such that the spindle is free to rotate about the spindle axis. The spindle is generally a hollow tube section thereby allowing the passage of drilling fluid, mud, cuttings, and/or tooling. The isolation system generally reduces the transfer of the vibration force generated by the sine generator to the outer housing, yet is able to transfer an applied thrust force from the outer housing to the sine generator.

Abstract: A machine tool with an auxiliary cushion structure includes a machine tool having a grip portion and a trigger switch mounted on the grip portion. The grip portion has a control lever pivotally mounted thereon to enable the control lever to rotate against the grip portion, so as to press the trigger switch during rotation and drive the machine tool to operate. The grip portion further has an auxiliary cushion mounted thereon and a gap is formed between the auxiliary cushion and the control lever. The auxiliary cushion has a supporting surface which is tilted upwards from one end close to the control lever to the other end. Thus no matter the control lever is pressed by the operator or released, the operator's hand can rest on the supporting surface to alleviate or ease the fatigue.

Abstract: An electric hammer comprising a hammer bit performing hammering work on a work, a drive motor, a hammering piece driven by the drive motor to apply a hammering force to the hammer bit, and a mechanism for damping vibration generated during hammering. The damping performance of the electric hammer is enhanced by causing the driving amount applied to the damping mechanism to vary between a first mode where the damping mechanism generates vibration of the hammer bit subjected to an external force from the work during the load driving time and thereby optimizes the damping and a second mode where the damping mechanism generates vibration corresponding to the vibration of the hammer bit not subjected to an external force from the work during the no-land driving time and optimizes damping.
