  • Patent number: 10858799
Abstract: A stabilizer system includes a first object that moves relative to a second object and includes a first actuator coupled to a first wear pad. The first actuator drives the first wear pad to contact a first side of the second object to control motion of the first object relative to the second object. The first actuator operates in a first mode and in a second mode. While operating in the first mode, the first actuator applies a first force to the first wear pad to block the motion of first object relative to the second object. While the first actuator is operating in the second mode, the first actuator applies a second force, lower than the first force, to the first wear pad to enable the motion of the first object relative to the second object.

Abstract: A method and circuit arrangement utilize an integrated encryption engine within a processing core of a multi-core processor to perform encryption operations, i.e., encryption and decryption of secure data, in connection with memory access requests that access such data. The integrated encryption engine is utilized in combination with a memory address translation data structure such as an Effective To Real Translation (ERAT) or Translation Lookaside Buffer (TLB) that is augmented with encryption-related page attributes to indicate whether pages of memory identified in the data structure are encrypted such that secure data associated with a memory access request in the processing core may be selectively streamed to the integrated encryption engine based upon the encryption-related page attribute for the memory page associated with the memory access request.

  • Patent number: 8948401
Abstract: Disclosed is a method of registering only an authorized optical network terminal among a plurality of optical network terminals with the same serial number, in an optical line terminal, using a public key encryption algorithm, in a Gigabit Passive Optical Network (GPON). According to an exemplary aspect, a GPON system encrypts a physical layer OAM message transmitted/received for serial number registration of an optical network terminal, using a key distributed according to a public key encryption algorithm, and authenticates registration of the optical network terminal using the encrypted physical layer OAM message. Accordingly, it is possible to securely authenticate registration of an authorized optical network terminal and block registration of unauthorized optical network terminals.
