With Means To Rotate Reciprocating Piston Patents (Class 173/220)
  • Patent number: 10639062
Abstract: Rotational atherectomy devices and systems can remove or reduce stenotic lesions in blood vessels by rotating an abrasive element within the vessel. The abrasive element can be attached to a distal portion of an elongate flexible drive shaft that extends from a handle assembly. In particular embodiments, the handle assembly includes a compressed gas driven turbine member that drives rotation of the drive shaft. The turbine member can be rotatably attached to a carriage that is longitudinally translatable in relation to a housing of the handle assembly. The handle assembly can include a latch mechanism that when actuated allows the carriage to translate to a proximal-most position. While the carriage is in the proximal-most position, an open pathway is created so that a guidewire can be slidably passed through the handle assembly and a lumen of the drive shaft.

  • Patent number: 7413029
Abstract: The present invention aims to provide a screw fastening machine for reliably switching and changing a driving force transmitting path with the seating on a work as a reference. According to the screw fastening machine in which a first pulley is connected to a first driving mechanism for applying high speed low torque drive to a drive shaft, a second pulley is fixed in an integrally rotatable manner to a transmission shaft for connecting the drive shaft, and an endless belt is interposed between the pulleys to obtain a configuration for high speed low torque drive, a second driving mechanism for low speed high torque drive is arranged on an extension of the transmission shaft, and the second driving mechanism performs the drive until a final fastening torque is reached when a screw component is seated on the work and the stall state is achieved, the final fastening torque is always reliably obtained and the work time is reduced without waste.

  • Patent number: 5231902
Abstract: A pneumatically operated screw driver having a pneumatically operated rotor rotatably supported in an outer frame. The rotor is only rotatable about its axis. A moving unit is slidably disposed within the rotor. The moving unit has an upper piston and is axially movable upon application of pneumatic pressure to the upper piston. The moving unit is also rotatable about its axis because of spline connection with the rotor. A valve is disposed for selectively applying the pneumatic pressure to the piston and to the rotor. Upon application of the pneumatic pressure, the moving unit is moved downwardly, and the pneumatic pressure is then introduced into the rotor for rotating the same. The rotation of the rotor is transmitted to the moving unit. The valve closes a fluid passage directing to the piston and to the rotor when the moving unit has the lowermost position.
