  • Patent number: 11883940
Abstract: The present disclosure generally relates to quick change attachments for a pneumatic percussive tool. The attachments convert a pneumatic percussive tool, such as an air impact tool with proximal attachment, which has a “pushing” force, into a pneumatic percussive tool having a “pulling” force. Once attached to the pneumatic percussive tool, the attachments also provide a quick change feature for allowing “pulling” tools to be simply and easily removed and replaced.

Abstract: An alignment tool for aligning fence posts and a method for aligning fence posts are provided. The alignment tool can include an alignment plate with an aperture adapted to receive a fence post. The alignment plate is interconnected to a lever arm to facilitate the application of a torque to a fence post received by the aperture of the alignment plate at a desired location along the length of the fence post. The alignment plate can additionally include one or more notches adapted to receive an edge of a fence post. By applying a force through the lever arm, the portion of an edge of the fence post received by the notch can be crimped and/or otherwise aligned at a desired location along the length of the fence post. The lever arm can comprise a post pounder, resulting in a tool that is capable of performing multiple functions.

Abstract: An ergonomically enhanced electric power tool is disclosed that incorporates a new type of user grip and control system. This grip and control system is housed in a substantially rigid control-housing sheath, which provides enhanced leverage and control over the drilling process while reducing stress on the user's hand, wrist, and arm. The tool motor is disposed substantially in parallel with the user's wrist, but on a different plane, and eliminates the traditional “pistol” type of power-tool grip. The control-housing sheath contains a grip-controller assembly that allows the user to control most major drill operations within the gauntlet-like control-housing sheath. The inventive concepts described can be applied to myriad hand-held power tools, and a detailed example for a power drill is provided.

Abstract: An anchor installation tool has an elongated member with a body portion and a head portion. The body portion includes an internal bore to receive a drill bit. The head portion projects from and has a diameter smaller than the body portion. The head portion is coaxial with the body portion. An anchor guide has a sleeve-shaped body with a bore throughout the body. The bore has a portion sized to fit over the body portion and a portion to fit over the head portion. The guide slides on the body and head portions. A mechanism retains the anchor guide onto the body portion. The retaining mechanism enables sliding of the anchor guide and prohibits removal of the anchor guide from the body portion.

  • Patent number: 7900713
Abstract: A main shaft locking mechanism includes a fixing ring, a main shaft and detents. The main shaft includes an equilateral portion that has an equilateral cross section. A number of the corners of the equilateral portion is equal to that of the detents. The detent has an exterior side and an interior side opposite to the exterior side. The interior side includes two corner protrusions protruded out from two ends thereof and a concave portion defined between the two corner protrusions. The corners of the main shaft are received in the concave portions of the detents. When the main shaft is manually driven to rotate, the corners of the main shaft drive the detents to deviate. Therefore, the exterior sides of the detents interfere against the fixing ring. Then the detents prevent the main shaft from further rotating, thus locking up the main shaft.

Abstract: A vibratory and impact connector for a power tool is provided with a spring, a first drive rod, a drive ring and a second drive rod which are sequentially received in an outer cylinder. The first drive rod is inserted through the spring and extended out of the outer cylinder, the second drive rod is inserted through the drive ring and into the first drive rod, and the drive ring is fixed to the outer cylinder. By such arrangements, driving the second drive rod can rotate the outer cylinder, the first drive rod and the drive ring. Furthermore, by restricting the rotation of the outer cylinder, the drive ring can also be restricted from rotation, and the drive ring and spring can cooperate with a spring to drive the first drive rod to perform axial reciprocation, thus creating an impact operation.
