Abstract: A pneumatically operated tool driver has a debris suction apparatus including a dust gathering assembly fastened to the front head of tool driver and surrounding the tool, a venturi element mounted on the tool driver, and an air diverting apparatus that uses pressurized air to establish an airflow through the venturi element to create a suction upstream of the venturi element that draws debris from the dust gathering assembly to a dust collection site. The air diverting apparatus obtains the pressurized air from an exhaust diverter that captures pressurized exhaust air expelled through the tool driver's exhaust port, and from a capillary tube coupled to the tool driver's inlet air port.
Abstract: A collection tank for use in a vacuum operated earth reduction system, the collection tank comprising a closed first end, an open second end defining a tank sealing flange and a body extending between the closed first end and the open second end. An internal chamber defined by the body, the closed first end and the open second end has a door coupled to the open second end and is configured to releasably seal the open second end. An automated door closer is coupled to a center of the door, wherein the automated door closer provides a closing force at the center of the door so that the closing force is equally distributed about a periphery of the door to seal the door against the tank sealing flange.
Abstract: A drill removal device is provided for use with a scratch generating tool having a stationary member and a scrap generating workpiece engaging member that is moveable with respect to the stationary member. The debris removal device includes a bracket having a stationary member receiving portion for coupling the bracket to the power tool stationary member. A vacuum receiving portion of the bracket is provided for coupling the bracket to a vacuum source, and a passageway portion is provided for placing the stationary portion in fluid communication with the vacuum source. A variable tube bellows is configured for placement adjacent to the workpiece engaging member. The bellows includes a plurality of bi-stable pleats that are moveable between and stationarily positionable in each of an expanded position and a compressed position for permitting the user to vary the length of the bellows between, and fixedly positioned the length of the bellows at a plurality of different lengths.
Abstract: A cutting tool cover set to a cutting tool which includes a hollow shaft body and at least one insert attached to an end face of the shaft body and cuts by bringing the insert into contact with a work while rotating the shaft body. The cutting tool cover includes: a body portion fixed to a top end portion of the shaft body; and an extension portion extended outward from the circumferential edge of the body portion in the entire circumference of the top end portion of the body portion to cover the surface of the work.
Abstract: A mobile digging and backfill system for removing and collecting material above a buried utility. The system comprises a mobile chassis, a collection tank mounted to the chassis, a water pump mounted to the chassis for delivering a pressurized liquid flow against the material for loosening the material at a location, a vacuum pump connected to the collection tank so that an air stream created by the vacuum pump draws the material and the fluid from the location into the collection tank, and at least one backfill reservoir mounted to the chassis for carrying backfill for placement at the location.

Abstract: The present invention relates to liquid dispensing system for a rotatable work tool (2), comprising a control valve (13), an inlet and outlet liquid guiding device (11, 15). The control valve (13) comprises a housing (18) with a rotatable drum part (19) arranged to rotate. The housing (18) comprises inlet and outlet tubes (21, 22) arranged to be connected to the liquid guiding devices (11, 15). The tubes (21, 11) have corresponding inlet and outlet openings (23) facing the drum part (19). The drum part (19) comprises a first seal (25) and a third seal (27), the seals (25, 27) running around the drum part (19). The third seal (27) has an extension (34) running partially along the first seal (25), such that a first and second volume (28, 29) are formed. Each opening (23, 24) is connected to one of the volumes, or both. At least one volume (29) enables fluid connection between the openings (23, 24) that is variable by means of the third seal (27) moving over one or more of the openings (23).

Abstract: A system for concurrently supplying a liquid and drive gas to a gas-driven tool includes a drive gas source and conduit means connecting the drive gas source to the tool. Exhaust conduit means connect the tool to exhaust sensor means. A liquid source is connected to the tool by liquid conduit means. Means for causing liquid to flow from the liquid source to the tool is activated by means responsive to pressure of over a predetermined value at the exahust gas sensor.
Abstract: A mining system for extraction of coal or the like from narrow seams has a conduit system for pneumatic conveyance of mined material. A leading section of apparatus comprises a cutter head assembly driven by an air motor which exhausts into the conduit system. The leading section includes further an anchoring means which is changeably mounted thereon to permit advance of the leading section and cutter head assembly, and ground contact means for pivoting of the cutter head from side-to-side.
