Mesh Patents (Class 174/117M)
  • Patent number: 4158103
Abstract: An electric woven switching matrix comprises an insulating field fabric made by interweaving insulating fibers, conducting wires interwoven into the insulating field fabric, and sections for installation of circuit elements over the matrix area. The conducting wires, passing through these sections and intended for forming, by cutting, matrix contact terminals to be electrically connected with the lead-outs of the circuit elements installed on the matrix, extend out from the insulating field fabric, extend over the surface of a respective section and extend back into the insulating field fabric. Exit points from the insulating field fabric and entrance points into the insulating field fabric for odd sets of conducting wires are staggered with respect to exit points from the insulating field fabric and entrance points into the insulating field fabric for even sets of conducting wires.

  • Patent number: 4158104
Abstract: A curved woven cable having a plurality of conductors and a method for constructing the same is disclosed wherein warp binder strands and a fill strand are interwoven with the conductors with at least one void area being formed in which the conductors are not interwoven with the warp strands and fill strands so that the cable may be curved. In a preferred method, the void area is formed by weaving the warp strands and fill strands with the conductors removed from the weave to form a weave portion floated outside of the conductors but which remains an important structural portion of the cable in maintaining its curved configuration.

  • Patent number: 4143236
Abstract: A woven electrical cable comprising a plurality of longitudinal conductor wires arranged in a substantially side-by-side manner for transmitting signals with a pair of longitudinal ground wires carried between adjacent conductor wires longitudinally coextending in a substantially parallel relationship with said conductor wires providing an associated ground wire on each side thereof for isolating a respective conductor wire. The conductor wires and ground wires are interwoven with insulating fiber strands to define a woven pattern with the associated ground wires being spaced from each respective conductor wire in the woven pattern so as to isolate and set the impedance of each conductor wire at a desired impedance value whereby the cable impedance may be controlled producing transmission of uniform signals with reduced cross-talk interference.

  • Patent number: 3984622
Abstract: A multi-conductor cable harness includes a trunk having a woven cover enclosing a plurality of conductor wires, and a series of reduced trunk cover segments extended therefrom. Branches of wires are broken out of the woven cover at junctions of adjacent reduced segments so as to be spaced laterally, longitudinally and vertically with respect to each other. The branch portions are accurately separated into distinct branches for providing programmed connections for the conductor wires.
