  • Patent number: 11082314
Abstract: Systems and methods relate to locating connectivity network components in a step structure. Connectivity network components, such as network switches, network access points, etc., are disposed within structural steps in a spectator venue, such as a sports stadium or arena. Locating network components in stadium steps allows network cabling to be brought closer to network access points, thus bringing about efficiencies in cabling costs and connectivity characteristics. Such systems and methods allow for network access points to be located in greater densities in areas with high user access rates.
