Abstract: An auger system may include a powerhead, a bit, and an anchoring device. A collar on the bit may be attachable to a rotatable output shaft of the powerhead with a coupler that is positionable around the collar. The collar may include a passageway that does not intersect the rotation axis of the output shaft. The coupler may have a pin that is positionable to extend into the passageway to engage part of the output shaft to resist removal of the bit from the output shaft. The anchoring device may have a tube that is positionable to rest in slots between two lobes extending from a frame of the powerhead. A pintle assembly may pass through the tube and the lobes to rotatably mount the anchoring device on the frame. A toggle and a spring in the pintle assembly may keep the pintle assembly in position.

Abstract: A method and device for drilling, particularly percussion drilling or rotary percussion drilling a hole in soil or rock material and fixing an anchoring in the hole. To this end, a drilled hole is made by a drill bit mounted on a drill rod. The drill rod, on the rear side facing away from the drilling surface of the drill bit, is surrounded at a distance from the drill bit by an anchoring element whose outside dimension exceeds, at least in part, the circumference of the drilled hole made by the drill bit.

Abstract: A drilling and anchor-setting tool (1) for mine, tunnel, and underground works for setting an anchor (5) in a borehole and provided with a core bit and with single-or multi-component adhesive mass (6), with the tool including a housing (2) having a chamber (4), and an extrusion device (3) for forcing the adhesive mass (6) out of the anchor (5) when the anchor (5) is located in the borehole, and integrated in the housing chamber (4).
Abstract: A truck mounted crane is equipped with an earth boring bit apparatus which can be attached to the end of a crane boom to excavate holes prior to the erection of signs or other elevated pole mounted structures. The earth boring bit apparatus includes a earth boring bit attachable to a gearbox which may include an extension shaft to permit its use on the crane. The crane also includes high capacity hydraulic lines suitable for actuating the earth boring bit, which also includes a drum for collecting earth as the hole is bored so that the crane can be used to remove the debris as part of the same operation in which the hole is bored.
Abstract: For inserting anchor bolts in the region of the tunnel side wall up to near to the face, in addition to anchor bolt drilling and setting devices for the roof in the front region of the road-driving machine additional anchor bolt and setting devices are mounted displaceably guided in a vertical direction. The additional anchor bolt drilling and setting devices are swivellable around an axis which is parallel to the running surface plane of the drive mechanism of the road-driving machine.

Abstract: The perforator body is provided with a built-in pulling winch whose drum is wound with a wire rope. The winch axle mounts a worm wheel meshing with the perforator box whose external surface is made in the form of a worm. The wire rope is secured to the rock and the perforator is fed progressively by rotation of the box.
