Abstract: The weight measurement instrument includes a support frame, a plant holder, and a load cell. The plant holder is assembled with the support frame and has an upper opening and a lower opening, a hydroponic plant can be planted in the plant holder and grow towards the upper opening and the lower opening; the load cell is fixed with the support frame and is used for measuring the total weight of the hydroponic plant automatically. A method for measuring the total weight of the hydroponic plant automatically is also provided.

Abstract: A personal alarm system can help a user to wake up in a preset time. A sensor can sense operations of the personal alarm system and output sense signals. A control unit can calculate a sum of the sense signals to obtain a number of operations of the personal alarm system, and stop an alarm from sounding in response to the sum of the sense signals meeting the condition to stop the alarm from sounding.

Abstract: A pair of lever arms are hinged together at one end and disposed beneath a plant container, compression spring being disposed between the other ends of said lever arms and a flexible water supply hose being sandwiched between said lever arms intermediate their ends. Thus, when the soil in the container is dry and thus light, the spring opens the arms and allows water to flow through the hose to the soil; when the soil is moist, and thus heavy, its weight overcomes the force of the spring and compresses the hose to cut off the supply of water.

Abstract: A device for use with a restaurant faucet of the type which is turned on with the positioning of a pitcher for receiving water, which device shifts the pitcher when full to one side for shutting off the faucet.
