  • Patent number: 10405692
Abstract: A beverage dispensing valve may include a downspout assembly having a body having walls with a slot therein, a channel, an upper and a lower opening, with the slot in the channel between the upper and lower openings. The downspout assembly may include a lateral member extending laterally from the downspout assembly and engaging the wall adjacent the slot. A pinch member may be partly enclosed within the lateral member and dimensioned to move partially through the slot. A handle and the pinch member may move the pinch member in and out of the slot. A coil spring may engage the lateral member and the pinch arm urging the pinch arm at least partially through the slot of the body. A flexible insert may be dimensioned to tightly fit against the walls of the channel of the body, the insert having an open top and an open bottom.

  • Patent number: 9835488
Abstract: A luggage scale and identification tag system is a combination identification tag and luggage weight scale system having a body with a clear plastic card insert for displaying a business card or other visual identification means on one side and a scale with a display face and graduated weight measurements on the other side. The scale has a spring mechanism that is able to indicate a weight when loaded; the indication via mechanical (analog) means. Simplified versions may just be connectable to luggage via a tie strap.

  • Patent number: 9764937
Abstract: A dispenser dispenses a consumable product from a container. The container is supported within a housing by a container holder. The container holder is vertically moveable within a movement range in the housing. A biasing structure biases the container holder upwardly. A sign is connected to move up and down with the container holder. An indicator associated with the sign is vertically fixed relative to the housing. When an amount of product remaining in the container reaches a low level, the biasing force of the biasing structure will lift the container holder, causing the indicator to be aligned with a portion of the sign that gives a visual cue to a user that the amount of product remaining is at a low level.

  • Patent number: 7129426
Abstract: A weight scale with hybrid graduation includes an elastic element, a carrier mounted to the lower end of the elastic element, an indicator block mounted between the elastic element and the carrier, and a graduated housing for receiving the elastic element and the indicator block. The indicator block includes at least one auxiliary graduation. The graduated housing includes at least one primary graduation having a unit different from that of the auxiliary graduation. A weight of an object attached to the carrier is measured through vertical relative movement between the primary graduation and the auxiliary graduation to provide more accurate measuring result.

  • Patent number: 6148668
Abstract: An apparatus for indicating the amount of fuel in a fuel tank for a barbecue grill is disclosed. The apparatus includes a first housing member having indicator marks on an indicator wall thereof, a second housing member slidably engaging the first housing member and further securing the fuel tank, and a spring member connected to the first and second housing members to provide a resistive force to oppose the downward movement force of the fuel tank. The second housing member has a gauge wall with openings such that the gauge wall at least partially overlies the indicator wall of the first housing member to progressively expose indicator marks through the openings. The exposed indicator marks provide a readout of the amount of fuel remaining in the fuel tank.

  • Patent number: 4815549
Abstract: A portable device for weighing objects is provided in which the object being weighed is supported against gravity by a self-aligning tension spring and a supporting frame. The device utilizes an indicator which carries no substantial part of the load, but senses the position of the lower, free end of the resilient measuring means, through the use of an activator probe, self-aligned with the resilient measuring means. The device can further provide high resolution to one part in one thousand while minimizing the inherent non-linearity in the no-load portion of its spring deflection curve.

  • Patent number: 4677964
Abstract: A gas grill includes a cart and a cooking vessel supported on the cart with the cooking vessel having a lower gas burner assembly, an intermediate sear grid assembly and an upper cooking grid. The sear grid assembly includes inverted V-shaped sear bars that cause evaporation of greases from the food on the cooking grid. The cooking vessel has a lower removable grease pit for any unvaporized grease and a separate burner unit is supported on the cart. The cart also has a fuel indicator device for supporting a portable tank. The burner assembly is constructed to be assembled without the use of any tools.

  • Patent number: 3934474
Abstract: An apparatus for holding and monitoring an intravenous infusion container. A pulley wheel is rotatably mounted to a base and wrappingly receives a line which is connected to the intravenous infusion container for the suspended mounting thereof. The axle of the pulley wheel extends through a discshaped base having a plurality of markings thereon. A pointer is fixed and mounted to the axle adjacent to the base. The intravenous infusion container when full causes the axle to rotate so as to position the pointer adjacent to a marking. A spring returns the wheel and pulley wheel to an original position as liquid drains from the container.
