Patent number: 11359571Abstract: The inhibition device includes a micro-controller configured with a triggering condition including a number of intervals and, for each interval, a corresponding duration and a corresponding threshold. Each interval is a range specifying how much the vehicle's acceleration pedal has changed its position in terms of percentages of a pedal stroke. Each duration specifies the fastest time duration allowable for the acceleration pedal to attain a corresponding interval of pedal position change. The micro-controller converts progress signals of the acceleration pedal to corresponding percentages, obtains a difference DEF between the successive percentages, records a time duration RES between successive progress signals, and calculates DEF/RES=X. When X is greater than or equal to a threshold of a corresponding interval, the micro-controller sends an idle signal to the vehicle's engine control unit or intercepts the progress signals to prevent them from reaching the engine control unit.Type: GrantFiled: March 25, 2021Date of Patent: June 14, 2022Inventor: Wen-Yi Wu

Patent number: 7486987Abstract: A work comfort evaluating device is a device for evaluating a level of comfort of work by measuring myoelectric potentials of plural muscles when the work is done by antagonistic activities of the muscles. The device has a pair of detecting sensors, an amplifier, a signal processing part, a work-load intensity calculating part, and an evaluation part. The sensors sense myoelectric potentials of the muscles at a time of the work. The signal processing part calculates a synchronous contraction intensity of the muscles by using myoelectric potential waveforms. The work-load intensity calculating part calculates a level of a work load intensity in the work. The evaluation part evaluates a level of comfort of the work by normalizing the synchronous contraction intensity by the level of the work load intensity calculated.Type: GrantFiled: September 16, 2004Date of Patent: February 3, 2009Assignee: The Yokohama Rubber Co., Ltd.Inventors: Akira Kuramori, Noritaka Koguchi, Masayoshi Kamijo, Tsugutake Sadoyama

Patent number: RE47647Abstract: An mechanical power system provides torque without using a heat engine where fossil-fuel engines have conventionally been used, by replacing the fossil-fuel burning engine with a rotary pneumatic motor and feeding pressure-regulated compressed gas to the rotary pneumatic motor. The rotary pneumatic motor can be used anywhere, and requires preferably compressed nitrogen in a non-liquid state. Automotive, marine and electrical generating applications are adaptable, and auxiliary power is available for emergencies where a supply of compressed gas has been exhausted. A screw-type compressor can be electrically powered to supply compressed gas to the pneumatic motor where tanks of compressed gas have been exhausted. An electrical generating power plant includes an array of solar panels for generating direct current (DC) and a DC/AC converter for converting the DC to alternating current (AC) and outputting a portion of the AC via a power plant output port to supply an AC load.Type: GrantFiled: October 19, 2017Date of Patent: October 15, 2019Inventor: Timothy Domes
