And Transverse Leaf Spring Suspension Patents (Class 180/362)
  • Patent number: 11851110
Abstract: A vehicle has a vehicle body provided with a pair of rockers, the rockers each being provided on one side of a floor panel in a right-left direction and on another side of the floor panel in the right-left direction. The vehicle has a battery pack that is disposed below the floor panel, and that stores electric power to be supplied to a traveling motor. The vehicle has a pair of fixing members, the fixing members each being disposed on one side of the battery pack in the right-left direction and another side of the battery pack in the right-left direction, that is configured to fix the battery pack to the rockers. The vehicle has an elastic member disposed between the battery pack and the fixing members. The elastic member is disposed in a state compressed by the battery pack and the fixing members.

  • Patent number: 11161402
Abstract: Vehicle platforms, and systems, subsystems, and components thereof are described. A self-contained vehicle platform or chassis incorporating substantially all of the functional systems, subsystems and components (e.g., mechanical, electrical, structural, etc.) necessary for an operative vehicle. Functional components may include at least energy storage/conversion, propulsion, suspension and wheels, steering, crash protection, and braking systems. Functional components are standardized such that vehicle platforms may be interconnected with a variety of vehicle body designs (also referred to in the art as “top hats”) with minimal or no modification to the functional linkages (e.g., mechanical, structural, electrical, etc.) therebetween. Configurations of functional components are incorporated within the vehicle platform such that there is minimal or no physical overlap between the functional components and the area defined by the vehicle body.

  • Patent number: 6212451
Abstract: It is proposed that a pneumatic suspension leveling system for vehicles with a compressor which can be turned on and off by a control device in function of demand, which compressor only needs to operate intermittently, with predetermined on-time duration, during normal operation, be improved with respect to its functional capacity. This problem is solved in accordance with the invention in that the control device of the pneumatic suspension leveling system varies the on-time duration of the compressor in function of the heat transfer conditions which prevail between the compressor and the air enveloping the latter.

  • Patent number: 5833026
Abstract: Wheel suspension for a pair of driven motor vehicle wheels, comprising a member (1), which consists of two cast aluminum member elements (2, 3) which are joined to each other. The member is intended to be fixed to a vehicle undercarriage. A wheel carrier (15) for each wheel is carried by the member via an upper and a lower link arm (12, 13), a slotted rod (14) and a longitudinal bar (18). A final drive unit (4) is fixed to the member together with a transverse leaf spring (30), which forms the wheel spring system, without the use of any special through-fasteners.

  • Patent number: 5046753
Abstract: An independent rear wheel suspension system having top and bottom parallel struts which are linked to a control arm and which make each rear wheel produce predetermined cornering toe alignment with no effective change to the camber angle of the wheels. The angle of the struts at rest as viewed in reference to a leveled ground plane is used to predetermine the wheels' toe change during cornering. The limits of wheels' toe change are conditional to the spring rate acting on each rear wheel. The camber angle and the cornering toe alignment of the wheels can be adjusted independently from each other.
