  • Patent number: 11808044
Abstract: Systems and methods container for the protection of exterior surfaces of buildings and other outdoor structures are disclosed. The proposed systems are configured to offer a mesh-based covering that can be installed on surfaces such as roofs to safeguard the exterior surface from damage caused by hailstorms or other debris. The mesh covering can be colored to match the coloring of the roof surface and/or may be substantially transparent or comprise a material thin enough to remain imperceptible when viewed from a distance. Consumers can order the mesh material to match the appearance type of their homes. The mesh covering can be spaced apart from the roof surface to ensure the impact of hail does not affect the roof.

  • Patent number: 11788306
Abstract: A debris containment system includes channel units that are configured to attach to perimeter structural members of the building (e.g., vertical columns and/or horizontal beams) and extend outward from the perimeter of the building. Channel units can be produced in any length or lengths needed for a given application. These channel units are used to lift and support barrier members (e.g., nets, tarps, canvas/fabric, or other barrier members) to create barriers along the perimeter of the building. Importantly, these channel units are generally attached directly or indirectly (e.g., via temporary vertical members) to structures that will remain on the building (e.g., structural columns and beams of the building) as opposed to being used with separate framing structures erected outside of the building perimeter, although in some exemplary embodiments, channel units can be used on structures erected outside of the perimeter of the building.

  • Patent number: 11399637
Abstract: An infant support device for holding an infant. A fabric panel is taut between two or more anchor points. The anchor points may be disposed on a support frame or another structure capable of supporting the fabric panel and a weight of an infant. The fabric panel contains an aperture. A mesh insert is affixed to the fabric panel at the contour of the aperture. The mesh insert has a lower stiffness than the fabric panel. The mesh insert contains a plurality of holes sized to permit air to flow therethrough while preventing an infant's limbs and appendages from entering therein. Responsive to an infant being placed onto the mesh insert, the mesh insert elastically deforms thereby transitioning into a stretched configuration, in which the mesh insert urges the infant's spine into a convex curve.

Abstract: A driveway safety net. The safety net includes two stakes and a net that attaches between the two stakes. When the two stakes are placed on both sides of a driveway and the net is attached between the two stakes, the net hinders balls and other toys from rolling past the net. In one embodiment, each stake includes at least two prongs that are pushed into the ground when placing the stake. Preferably, at least one prong of each stake is wider in one dimension than in another dimension so that the stake is more resistant to being pulled over in at least one direction than in at least one other direction. Each prong is curved in an arc across its wider dimension.

  • Patent number: 7014053
Abstract: A pallet rack safety net system comprises two parallel horizontal wire ropes that are stretched along the top and bottom edges of a shelf opening. A pair of hung left and right screens of flexible netting are attached between the top and bottom wire ropes so that they can be horizontally separated at the middle of the shelf opening. The inside vertical edges of each screen are finished with a metal bar and a clasp so the screens can be latched together at the middle. The outside left and right edges of the screens are secured to the outside of the shelf opening. If used on a top shelf that has no supports at each side of the opening, a pair of support posts are included that hold aloft the top horizontal wire rope. A network of stays and guys are used to reinforce each such post.

  • Patent number: 6988285
Abstract: A device and method for catching a person who is participating in a trust fall exercise in a ropes course. The device is constructed of a sheet of strong, flexible material that is provided with straps of reinforcing material, that extend under the sheet from side to side and from top to bottom. Each end of the straps is formed into a loop. The loops at the sides and the top of the sheet serves as handles by which team members grasp the device when catching a person on the device, and loops at the bottom of the sheet are to secure the device to a platform on which the person who is to be caught stands prior to falling backward off of the platform and onto the device.

  • Patent number: 6892857
Abstract: Fire escape apparatus for egress from a multi-storied building structure from an upper level thereof is provided. The apparatus includes an elongate mesh tube, the tube being substantially longer than the structure height from which escape is required, and sufficiently long to enable extension of the tube downwardly to the ground. The building structure has permanently attached thereto a guide wire or cable extending at a desired angle from the upper level to the ground. The elongate mesh tube has affixed thereto, at spaced-apart intervals along its length, a plurality of supporting blocks-and-pulleys engaging the guide wire or cable. When escape is required, the mesh tube is deployed from the upper level to the ground, riding upon the pulleys, thereby permitting escape to ground level through the tube by persons entering the tube from the upper level.

Abstract: An anchorage for anchoring an article to a bilateral flange which can have a width in a wide range of widths. First and second hooks are hooked over opposite flanges and securely retained thereon by a webbing strap of adjustable length extending between the two hooks. The webbing strap is permanently secured at one end to one of the hooks, and extends through a clamp on the other hook. The length of the webbing strap between the two hooks is fully adjustable in a wide range to accommodate the varying flange widths. As an alternative to a webbing strap and clamp, the hooks can be adjustably linked by an interpenetrating tongue and slot or buckle, mutually latched at a selected hook separation by a detent having projections urged into notches on the tongue.
