Abstract: A drilling system for use at a wellhead has a plurality of modules each containing rig component equipment. The plurality of modules are connected or interconnected together so as to form a drilling rig. Each of the plurality of modules has a size adapted to be lifted by forklift or a front end loader. The plurality of modules are arranged such that one end of the plurality of modules is adjacent to the wellhead. A pipe handling system is positioned adjacent to one end of the plurality of modules. A ventilation system is cooperative with the plurality of modules so as to move air toward or away from heat-generating equipment in the plurality of modules.
Abstract: A pipe assembly may have one or more pipe segments that are coupled together or coupled to a drive socket by a coupler. The bottom-most segment may have a body with a central axis, an exterior surface an upper end connectable to the pile assembly, a digging end, the digging end facilitating the creation of a borehole, and ports through which fluid is emittable. The bottom-most segment is designed to receive fluid introduced through the pipe assembly so that the fluid can facilitate the creation of a borehole and may be emitted through the ports during the driving of the pipe assembly into soil.
Abstract: Apparatus and methods for the installation of pipe pilings into the ground for use as structural building foundations, geothermal piles, or both, are disclosed. In addition to specialized fittings for pipe pile assemblies, the inventions include specialized drive mechanisms used in conjunction with rotary or vibratory motors. Methods of installing pipe pilings are further improved with the disclosure of methods of adding grout or similar materials during or after installation of the piles.
Abstract: A pipe assembly may have one or more pipe segments that are coupled together or coupled to a drive socket by a coupler. The bottom-most pipe segment being a bottom pile segment that may have a body with a central axis, an exterior surface an upper end connectable to the pipe pile assembly, and a bottom end, the bottom end inhibiting grout from passing through the bottom end, helical flights extending from the exterior surface of the body substantially perpendicular to the central axis, and grout ports through which the grout is emittable. The bottom pipe segment is designed to receive grout introduced through the pipe assembly so that the grout can be emitted the grout ports during the driving of the pile assembly into soil. The emitted grout forms a grout/soil mixture jacket within the disturbed soil along an exterior of the pipe pile assembly which adds appreciably to the overall stability, and particularly the lateral stability, of the pipe pile column created.
Abstract: A pipe assembly may have one or more pipe segments that are coupled together or coupled to a drive socket by a coupler. The coupler may have a body with a generally tubular shape with an interior surface and an exterior surface. First and second flanges may extend outward from the exterior surface to engage the drive socket, thereby providing enhanced stability and coaxiality. The interior surface may have an upper receiving feature that can receive the bottom end of an overhead pipe segment, and a lower receiving feature that can receive the top end of a subtending pipe segment. The upper receiving feature may have an upper threaded bore with a lead-in portion that facilitates alignment of the overhead pipe segment with the upper threaded bore. The interior surface may also have a stop feature that prevents over-insertion of the top end and/or the bottom end into the coupler.
Abstract: An adjustable scaffold base for straddling ground level obstructions, such as church pews and other fixed, ground level structures, and supporting an upwardly-extending scaffold tower thereon. The scaffold base incorporates four legs and four elevated, height-adjustable cross beams that allow a scaffold tower to be erected above the height of many fixed, ground level structures. The erected base and tower thereby allow workers to access elevated areas within high-ceilinged buildings, such for performing ceiling repairs, painting, and changing light bulbs.
Abstract: The invention provides a sawhorse comprising a base assembly movable between a folded position for storage and an open position for use and a workpiece support assembly having a workpiece supporting surface which faces upwardly when the base assembly is in the open position for use thereof, said workpiece support assembly being mounted on the base assembly for vertical movement in opposite directions with respect to the base assembly through a range of vertical positions. The base assembly and the workpiece support assembly has a cooperating structure operable to enable the workpiece support assembly to be manually moved in said opposite directions into a selected vertical position with respect to the base assembly, which adjustably engages the workpiece support assembly in the selected vertical position and which is operable to move the workpiece support assembly when the base assembly is in the folded position or in the open position.
Abstract: A knock-down sawhorse has a support beam supported above a surface by at least two pairs of legs, each pair of legs supporting opposing ends of the beam. The beam has at least four connectors, at least a first pair of connectors arranged on opposing lateral side walls at one end and at least a second pair of connectors arranged on opposing lateral side walls at the other opposing end. Each connector has a tab downwardly depending from a top wall of the beam for engaging an axially-extending recess in an upper end of each leg. Each pair of legs is interconnected by an adjuster for adjusting a lateral spacing therebetween. Manipulation of the lateral spacing between each pair of legs allows a working height of the sawhorse to be manipulated, allowing the sawhorse to be leveled.

Abstract: A collapsible and adjustable scaffold unit includes a base frame structure and an upper frame structure. Leg members on the base frame structure are independently adjustable in length and include pivoting feet to compensate for grade change and uneven terrain. The upper frame structure includes a vertical post which removably attaches to the base frame structure to accommodate adjustably positionable brace arms. The brace arms support planks spanning between two or more of the scaffold units to provide an uninterrupted walkway and a continuous workbench above the walkway. Adjusted movement of the brace arms along the vertical post, throughout a range of locked positions, allows the height of the walkway and workbench to be selectively varied according to the needs of the user.
Abstract: A work support including a frame and a header coupled to the frame and moveable between a first position and a second position. The header includes a first work surface deployed when the header is in a first position and a second work surface deployed when the header is in a second position.
Abstract: A trestle comprises two pairs of legs which can be opened and closed relative to one another. A beam has two depending poles and each pole is clamped by a clamping mechanism carried by an associated pair of legs. When the legs are open, the clamping mechanism is operative to hold the associated pole against movement relative to the associated legs whereas when the legs are moved together, this releases the clamping mechanism and allows the position of the pole to be adjusted.
Abstract: A sawhorse with the horizontal rail having an inner chamber housing a plurality of linearly aligned, upwardly projecting work support elements above a laterally moveable skid. The skid has a plurality of linearly aligned upwardly projecting ramps. The ramps elevate the work support members above the rail for supporting workpieces above the rail when the skid is moved in one direction and allow the work support elements to retract into the chamber when the skid is moved in the opposite direction.
Abstract: A sawhorse comprises a base assembly including a first base member and a second base member. The first base member has a first top end, and the second base member has a second top end. The second base member is pivotally connected at the second top end to the first top end of the first base member. The first and second bases members are pivotally movable between a folded storage position and an extended operative position. A vertically extendible top member is constructed and arranged to be adjustably mounted in varying vertical positions with respect to the base assembly. The extendible top member includes an elongated, laterally extending top element constructed and arranged to support a workpiece, and a pair of elongated extension elements that are constructed and arranged to be adjustably engaged at varying vertical positions relative to the base assembly so as to adjust the height of the top element.
