Telescopic Erecting Means Patents (Class 182/69.4)
  • Patent number: 11311433
Abstract: A lift apparatus for telescopic passenger stairs enabling disabled passengers with impaired mobility to board a plane and to telescopic aeroplane passenger stairs with the said lift. The lift apparatus moves the lift regardless of the degree of extension of the telescopic staircase, with a moveable guide rail installed into a lower staircase, which can travel to the top of an upper staircase if needed. The guide rail in the lower part serves as a fixed guide rail for the lifting platform, onto which a passenger in a wheelchair is wheeled, wherein the platform moves along the guide rail. When the platform reaches the end of the guide rail, it is locked in place, after which the guide rail itself then moves along the track of the upper part of the staircase, wherein it is connected to the guide rail via wheels. The described movement is enabled by a system comprising an endless chain, guide rollers and wheels, a drive sprocket and a drive, and the said guide rail.

  • Patent number: 10895083
Abstract: The PB-DSR tool is a lightweight tool weighing approximately two pounds that construction workers who hang drywall (or plywood) can use to roll the heavy material from the ground to the workers on a scaffold instead of lifting it by himself using his back, arms and legs, which causes injuries. The worker on the ground stands the drywall or other material on end, leans it against the roller, and rolls it upwards to the person on the scaffold instead of lifting the drywall up to the worker on the scaffold. Currently, a drywaller on the ground physically lifts a 100+ pound sheet of drywall, plywood or other heavy materials upwards as much as 20 feet to the person on the scaffold, who then has to lift and/or pull the materials up onto the scaffold. Both people must use their arms, knees, shoulders and back to lift the heavy material, and the worker on the scaffold sometimes uses his foot to slide the material up onto the scaffold.

The elastic strips are rotatably wound about respective winding drums disposed on the loading box of a vehicle and driven a driving force originating from the power source of the vehicle such that by unwinding the respective elastic strips an integrated column is formed at a desired elevated high location.

Abstract: A mobile lift having extendable axes that is capable of switching between front-wheel steer, rear-wheel steer, all-wheel steer, and crab steer without resulting in undesirable tire scrubbing or unfavorable steering geometry. One embodiment provides a mobile personnel lift having a chassis supported by steerable front and rear wheel sets. The steerable wheel sets are mounted on axles that are extendable and retractable. A double-acting hydraulic cylinder is pivotally coupled between each steerable wheel and its corresponding axle for turning the wheel. A microprocessor controls the flow of hydraulic fluid to the hydraulic cylinders. Sensors positioned adjacent to each wheel measure the angular position of each wheel relative to the chassis, and transmit this information to the microprocessor to synchronize the wheels as required to provide the optimum steering geometry for the selected mode.

Abstract: The present invention “Aerial Life Saver Combine” is a multipurpose mobile safety system that is used in relation to work performed on top of any kind of vehicle or on stationary structures where fall safety protection for workers in service, maintenance and construction is required. The uniqueness of this product is that one vehicle can do the job of two or more equipment to protect workers from a fall throughout their entire activity. Several accidents can be avoided by eliminating passages from equipment to equipment securing in such a way adequate anchorage for all time spent above ground. Wearing the proper harness, the user of the vehicle is protected by rails climbing the stairway and walking upon the platform. A gate secures the front of the platform. Thereafter, the worker attaches his harness—located at his back—to one of the lifelines previously installed between the anchor points and platform rail hooks. He then opens the front gate and walks onto the working area safely.

  • Patent number: 6378652
Abstract: A lifting apparatus for a mobile crane work platform comprising a telescopic mast with a base section, and a plurality of vertically movable sections, the work platform being connected by an articulated arm assembly to the highest deployed movable section of the mast, the telescopic mast being collapsible to a lowered position and extensible to a deployed position. The articulated arm is connected to the highest movable section laterally of the axis of the mast so that the arm is outside of a space between the mast and the work platform when in the lowered position to thereby minimize the horizontal length of the lifting apparatus.

  • Patent number: 6349793
Abstract: A lifting apparatus for mounting to a vehicle includes a base assembly that is adapted to cooperate with the vehicle. Extending from a base of the base assembly is a plurality of columns. The base assembly further includes a connecting mechanism that securely attaches the base assembly to a bed of the vehicle. The lifting apparatus further includes a platform assembly having a platform and a plurality of outer column receivers extending from the platform. The outer column receivers cooperatively engage with the columns of the base assembly to allow sliding engagement therebetween. Cooperating with the platform assembly is a driving mechanism that is adapted to elevate the platform assembly relative to the base assembly. The driving mechanism includes a lifting chain, a motor assembly, and a gear assembly. The lifting chain has a first end attached to the base assembly and a second end attached to the platform assembly.
