  • Patent number: 11859762
Abstract: A lubricant pump includes a housing mountable to the upper end of a lubricant container and having a vertical central bore, an outlet passage extending between the central bore and an outlet port fluidly connectable with the lubricant distributor and a vent chamber having an inlet and an outlet. A vent inlet passage extends between the central bore and the vent chamber inlet and a vent outlet passage extends between the vent chamber outlet and a vent outlet port fluidly connectable with a container cavity. A movable valve element is disposed within the vent chamber and displaceable along an axis between a position in which the valve element obstructs the chamber inlet and/or the chamber outlet and a second position in which the chamber inlet is fluidly connected with the chamber outlet to provide an internal flow path from the central bore to the vent outlet port.

  • Patent number: 10933189
Abstract: A variable rate controlled delivery drive mechanism includes a drive mechanism housing, at least partially within which initially resides a biasing member positioned in an initially energized state within an inner cavity of a piston. The drive mechanism may include a gear drive having one or more screws and one or more corresponding nuts. The piston contacts a plunger seal and is configured to axially translate the plunger seal, by force asserted upon it from the biasing member, from a first position to a second position within a drug container for drug delivery. The biasing member is metered from free expansion from its energized state by the gear drive and a gear assembly mechanism having a motor. A drug delivery pump utilizes such variable rate controlled delivery mechanisms. A status reader configured to recognize one or more corresponding status triggers is utilized to provide feedback to a user.

  • Patent number: 8215456
Abstract: The invention relates to an auxiliary lubrication unit for lubricant introduction devices. The unit comprises a base body (2), in whose longitudinal bore (10) a control piston (6) is displaced axially by a spring (4) towards a seal (9) and also comprises lateral connections (1a, 1p) of a chamber (11) that is delimited by the control piston (6) in the longitudinal bore (10). The connections run from a lubricant pump and to an installation that is to be supplied with lubricant and allowing lubricant to be transported, in the sealing position of the control piston (6), through the chamber (11) from the lubricant pump to the installation. If the pump fails, the control piston (6) can be displaced by remains of auxiliary lubricant from its sealing position, in opposition to the action of the spring (4), into a position in which the connection (1a) to the installation is open and the connection (1p) to the lubricant pump is closed, enabling the installation to the filled with the auxiliary lubricant.

  • Patent number: 6260664
Abstract: A new and improved grease shunt valve and lubrication system for a printing press or the like is achieved by the adding of vent drains and/or seals to prevent the accumulation of a waxy-like residue from the grease that interfered with operation of a return spring for closing of the valve. An existing solenoid, operated, grease shunt valve may be retrofitted with an additional body portion having a grease drain vent therein and a seal that seals grease from flowing along a solenoid, actuating rod and into the solenoid core. Preferably, an end plug that seals one end of the return spring is drilled to provide the drain vent for grease flowing into the spring chamber. Vent holes may also be drilled into the solenoid housing to drain and vent grease flowing into the solenoid core.
