Abstract: A machine lubrication system that includes an assembly for sensing the level of lubricant in the reservoir, the reservoir including a follower that travels axially within the reservoir and substantially conforms to an inner cross-sectional dimension thereof, a magnet being attached to the follower for actuation of a plurality of magnetically actuated switches. The system may include a first and second level sensor, which may be independently connected to one or more power sources, where the first level sensor may be associated with an operator station, and the second level sensor may be associated with a remote indicator.

Abstract: A lubricant supply system for continuously and automatically lubricating machine parts has a housing and a lubricant reservoir mounted in the housing. A lubricant metering device is also mounted in the housing. A control device is provided for variably operating the lubricant metering device. The control device has a receiver receiving by wireless remote transmission operating and service data.
Abstract: A passive gravitational drip lubrication system which includes lubrication rate monitoring and control to provide a constant lubrication rate in which the lubricant flow from the reservoir is adjusted by an electromagnetic valve apparatus, a drop detection apparatus senses the amount of lubricant dispensed, and a servo control apparatus adjusts the preselected flow rate by adjusting the electromagnetic valve.
Abstract: An engine has a crankshaft, a combustion chamber and a valve that selectively opens and closes the combustion chamber. The valve has a timing relationship to the crankshaft and lift characteristic. A control device hydraulically alters at least one of the timing relationship and the lift characteristic. A lubricant passage is connected with the control device to supply oil to a mechanism that is formed by engine parts slidably contacting one another within the engine. An auxiliary passage is provided for supplying the oil to the mechanism. Oil supplied from an oil pump to said auxiliary passage is restricted by an electromagnetic valve that is actuated based on the instruction from an electric controller when engine speed is lower than a predetermined value.
Abstract: An oil applying device includes a housing having a base for receiving oil and includes an upper oil tank. A lower roller is rotatably supported in the base and a middle roller is rotatably supported above the lower roller such that the lower roller may apply the oil onto the middle roller. An upper roller is rotatably supported above the middle roller for engaging with a work piece between the upper roller and the middle roller. A number of nozzles are secured to the bottom of the oil tank for applying the oil onto the upper roller so as to apply the oil onto the work piece.
Abstract: A device for supplying a lubricant to a mechanism, in particular a rolling bearing, comprising a container for holding a quantity of lubricant which at its lower edge is provided with a discharge channel for the lubricant and wherein a spring-loaded piston-like element is located in such fashion that the force of the spring presses this element in the direction of the discharge channel, characterized in that in the discharge channel is mounted a valve member, normally found in the closed position, which is coupled with an electric circuit which upon excitation controls the valve member bringing this valve member into the open and again into the closed position.

Abstract: Precisely recurrently controllable dropwise oilers or other liquid-feeds for apparatus having some optimal-requirement of oil or other liquid-feed to be supplied gravitationally dropwise from an outlet-line emanating from a lofty reservoir. A solenoid actuatable reciprocatable plunger-valve effects intermittent liquid-feed flow along the outlet-line toward a liquid drop-former element spaced a vertical-gap above an apparatus intake-line. For recurring like time-periods, infrared or other electromagnetic detector detects liquid-feed droplets falling from the drop-former so that the liquid-feeder operator might during recurring like time-periods have the solenoid reciprocation adjusted toward the achievement of a dropwise liquid-feed rate tending to converge upon the apparatus optimal-requirement.
Abstract: An apparatus for portional ejection of lubricant for lubrication of railway rails, comprising a tank for lubricant, a dosage pump connected to the tank and driven by an operating unit, a nozzle, and a timer for controlling the operating unit. The operating unit is an electromagnet including a movable armature the movement of which acts upon an ejector piston in the dosage pump. A connecting device is provided between the movable armature of the electromagnet and said ejector piston which establishes a power-transmitting connection only after a predetermined distance of displacement of the armature.
