Patent number: 6095287Abstract: A device introduces lubricant to a shaft at a portion held by bushings located at a bearing portion of a pulley. The shaft is provided with a main fluid passage having a relatively large diameter. A packing member having a rod-shaped configuration is inserted through this main fluid passage. The dimensional difference between an open area of the main fluid passage and a sectional area of the packing member creates in the fluid passage a lubricant feeding hole which is smaller than the open area of the main fluid passage. A tributary fluid passage extending from this main fluid passage to a diametrical outside portion of the main fluid passage is provided with slits on an outer circumferential surface of the shaft such that the slits intersect the lubricant feeding hole at right angles. Wire is then inserted through each slit. The slits are then closed with a packing except for the portion containing wire.Type: GrantFiled: September 17, 1998Date of Patent: August 1, 2000Inventor: Junichi Yokoi

Patent number: 6085870Abstract: A lubricant transfer connection for transferring lubricant from a lubricant transfer line which feeds into a lubricant supply bore machined in a bearing support housing. A lubricant transfer bushing is located at the moving interface between the lubricant supply bore machined in the bearing support housing and a lubricant input port in a cam follower lever arm. The lubricant transfer bushing is designed so that it provides a movable, sealed, connection between the lubricant channel in the bearing support housing and the lubricant input port in the cam follower lever arm, in all positions of the cam follower and cam follower lever arm.Type: GrantFiled: March 13, 1998Date of Patent: July 11, 2000Assignee: Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AGInventors: Mark Anthony Wingate, Glenn Alan Guaraldi

Patent number: 5713431Abstract: A system for lubricating the lower roller bearings of a textile machine drafting equipment includes a base body with punched-out shapes movably mounted on the base body by way of adjusting devices. Bores are defined in the punched-out shapes for receipt of the lower roller bearings. An encapsulated lubrication system supplies lubricant to the bearings and includes a channel defined through the punched-out shape with an outlet into the bore and an inlet in communication with the channel defined through the base body which is in further communication with a source of lubricant at one end thereof. An excess lubricant removal channel is defined in the punched-out shape and has an opening in communication with the bore and an outlet on a side of the punched-out shape away from the operating area or space of the lower roller.Type: GrantFiled: December 18, 1996Date of Patent: February 3, 1998Assignee: Rieter Ingolstadt Spinnereimaschinenbau AGInventors: Wolfgang Gohler, Michael Strobel

Patent number: 4920876Abstract: A refuse compactor includes a refuse container housing an upright compaction ram actuated by a vertically oriented scissors mechanism. The scissors mechanism is actuated by vertical movement of a horizontal crossbar connected to one set of scissors arms. The crossbar is moved by a vertically suspended ball screw acting on a ball nut floatingly connected to the cross bar. The ball screw is suspended at its upper, driven end in thrust bearings while its lower end is unrestrained. An oiler automatically oils the ball screw upon each inversion and return of the container to an upright condition in dumping refuse. An automatic ram cycler periodically extends and retracts the ram to prevent it and the compacted refuse in the container from freezing to the container when ambient air temperatures drop below freezing.Type: GrantFiled: March 11, 1988Date of Patent: May 1, 1990Inventor: Harry R.
