  • Patent number: 5417308
Abstract: A new and improved trailer fifth wheel lubrication apparatus is carried by a truck and includes a fifth wheel assembly which has lubrication channels and fittings for conveying lubricant to an upper surface of the fifth wheel assembly. Lubricant conveyances are connected to the fittings for conveying lubricant to the fifth wheel assembly. A main lubricant supply line is connected to the lubricant conveyances. A lubricant supply assembly is connected to the main lubricant supply line. A power assembly is connected to the lubricant supply assembly and forces discharge of lubricant from the lubricant supply assembly into the main lubricant supply line. A control assembly controls flow of power from the power assembly to the lubricant supply assembly. The control assembly includes an actuator assembly located in a cab of the truck.
