Vertically Movable Valve Patents (Class 184/82)
  • Patent number: 6902038
Abstract: A new type of plug incorporating a normally closed valve for draining oil from an oil pan of a car engine, wherein the normally closed valve is incorporated in a through hole provided as an oil draining path in a bolt type member fixed to the oil pan, an oil draining dedicated jig is assembled to the plug so as to open the normally closed valve in order to drain the oil contained in the oil pan by sucking it with a negative pressure, a movable valve disc member installed in the through hole is installed so that it is engaged with a valve seat provided near the outer end part of the through hole by a coiled spring so as to form the normally closed valve, and the tip end of the plug is made flush generally with the internal surface of the oil pan so as to prevent any structure from projecting toward the inside.

  • Patent number: 5788013
Abstract: An automatic device for replenishing the liquid oil and the like is composed of an oil container, a cap, an oil injecting seat, an oil blocking body, and a connection seat. The oil container is provided at the bottom thereof with a joint fastened therewith rotatably. The oil injecting is located in the joint and is provided at the bottom thereof with a cut. The connection seat is fastened at the top end thereof with the joint. When the oil consumption has reached an extent that the cut of the oil injecting seat and the oil level surface form therebetween a gap, the atmospheric air is drawn into the connection seat through which the atmospheric air flows into the joint via the gap, thereby resulting in an automatic replenishing of the oil. As soon as the gap is eliminated, the atmospheric air is kept out of the connection seat so as to bring about an end to the replenishing process of oil.

  • Patent number: 5407026
Abstract: Apparatus for installing grips on golf club shafts includes a grip lubricating device and a golf club shaft lubricating device. The grip lubricating device utilizes a wick which wipes against an inner surface of a grip. The wick is wettable by a lubricant that is held in a container. The golf club shaft lubricating device utilizes an absorbent, sponge-like liner that wipes against an outer surface of one end of a golf club shaft. Control valves regulate flow of lubricant from the container so that a controlled amount of lubricant is applied to the inner surface of the grip and to the outer surface of the one end of the golf club shaft.

  • Patent number: 4542766
Abstract: In an oil-flow regulator for vacuum pumps in milking systems, the amount of oil to be introduced is determined by the dimensions of an annular gap between a valve cone and a restrictor. The valve cone is attached to a diaphragm between the oil chamber and a partial-vacuum chamber that communicates with the suction line to the vacuum pump. When the vacuum pump is turned on, a partial vacuum builds up in the partial-vacuum chamber, forcing the diaphragm and the valve cone upward until the valve cone impacts against an axially adjustable stop. This establishes the oil flow. When the pump is turned off, the partial vacuum in the partial-vacuum chamber cancels out again, the valve cone blocks off the restrictor, an oil flow is interrupted. No oil can flow into the catch chamber when the pump is turned off and lead to an excessive rate of flow and excess oil consumption.

  • Patent number: 4541651
Abstract: A reservoir for grease is provided above the downwardly facing fifth wheel pin plate of a semi-trailer and opens downwardly through the plate at a point spaced forwardly of the associated depending fifth wheel pin. The reservoir may be filled with lubricating grease through a grease fitting associated therewith and sealed whereby the introduction of grease thereinto under pressure will cause the air pressure within the reservoir to be increased. The lower end of the reservoir opens downwardly through the fifth wheel plate and is equipped with a spring-biased ball valve projectable downwardly into sealed engagement with an appropriate seal provided therefor about the outlet of the reservoir and with the ball valve projecting below the fifth wheel pin plate.
