  • Patent number: 7604452
Abstract: A pallet positioner includes a support frame that consists of a main upright structure with a pair of spaced, parallel outriggers extending horizontally at ground level. The distal ends of the outriggers are connected by a low-profile ramp. The upright structure includes a pair of vertical guide masts rigidly mounted on a horizontal base bracing the proximal ends of the outriggers. A pneumatically and hydraulically controlled, or electrically and hydraulically controlled, cantilevered carrier with a rotatable platform is mounted for vertical motion along the vertical guide masts. When the carrier travels downward, the carrier stops automatically at a level above the outriggers and must be manually restarted. A braking system under the platform prevents rotation thereof at ground level.

  • Publication number: 20090242333
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and a device for monitoring a lifting system (11) for lifting loads, particularly vehicles, in which for lifting a load (14), the lifting movement is initiated by a starting phase, and lifting devices (12) are individually driven in the starting phase. Load holding means (18) of the lifting devices (12) are raised until a pre-set minimum load is detected by the pressure sensor (24), and the load holding means (18) are raised by a pre-selectable displacement distance in a load recognition phase of the lifting process following the starting phase, and after the pre-selected displacement distance is passed through, a load inquiry is carried out and the determined load is stored as a reference value for the further lifting process.

  • Patent number: 7482771
Abstract: In a method for monitoring a stationary condition of a drive device, a monitoring device provides the drive device with a temporally varying monitoring signal which, when a sensor device connected to the drive device functions properly, modulates a sensor output signal of the sensor device in accordance with the monitoring input signal. The monitoring device receives the sensor signal and monitors it for the presence of a corresponding signal component. In the absence of such a signal component, the monitoring device controls a safety device which converts the drive device into a safe state. When the drive device is controlled by means of at least two phase-shifted current regulators, it is possible for the monitoring device to monitor an output signal of at least one of the current regulators for constancy and to control the safety device when the output signal of the at least one current regulator changes.

  • Patent number: 6186280
Abstract: A vehicle lift assembly prevents accidental slippage of a vehicle therefrom. The vehicle lift assembly comprises a plurality of vertically disposed posts and a runway slidably coupled to the plurality of vertical posts. A hoist system supplies the force necessary for elevating the runway along the plurality of posts. A sensor arrangement detects whether the runway has tilted beyond a predetermined angular displacement. A lift control circuit controls the hoist system to elevate the runway selectively in a prescribed direction, and suspends operation of the hoist system, when necessary, to prevent the vehicle from accidentally sliding off the runway.

  • Patent number: 5497854
Abstract: A fallproof safety parking apparatus including a main body having a transverse beam and a lateral beam on which a detector and a detecting means are respectively disposed beside driving chains. The detector has a resilient pressing rod and the detecting means has a resilient pressing post for abutting against the chains without affecting the operation thereof. In case any section of the chains is broken apart, the resilient pressing rod of the detector or the resilient pressing post of the detecting means immediately bounds out from the broken section of the chains to actuate a microswitch of the detector or detecting means, making a fallproof means powered off. At this time, a brake block of the fallproof means is inserted into an insertion hole of a fixing lever of the main body and locked therein so as to instantaneously prevent an upper parking platform from straightly falling down. Two pairs of steel cables are disposed on the beams of the main body to help in holding the upper parking platform.
