Dispatches Load Supports From Designated Landing Patents (Class 187/385)
  • Patent number: 12012303
Abstract: An elevator trip based on destinations and activity parameters of a user is planned by a system having an elevator controller of an elevator installation, a storage device storing building plan data and a route planning computer. The user's trip inquiry, including a desired destination and a desired activity parameter, is received by the planning computer. Building plan data is read from the storage device by the planning computer. The current location of the user is determined by the planning computer, which calculates at least one route proposal based on the user's location, the destination and the activity parameter. The route proposal is communicated to the user. Upon receipt of a confirmation that the user selected the route proposal, a control signal identifying a boarding floor and a destination floor is transmitted by the planning computer to the elevator controller. The elevator installation is controlled according to the control signal.

  • Patent number: 11697571
Abstract: A method and system for controlling elevator dispatch is provided. User data, including user behavior, is collected from a number of users over a specified time period. Elevator use data for a number of elevators in a building is also collected over the specified time period. Applying the user data and elevator use data, an elevator dispatch model is constructed that predicts future elevator use according to predicted user needs. An elevator control system dispatches the elevators according to the dispatch model. The elevator dispatch model is refined according to feedback data collected from users over a subsequent time period.

  • Patent number: 9790053
Abstract: An elevator device includes: a first reader, a second reader, a determination section, and a request output section. The first reader is provided in a hall of an elevator. The second reader is provided in a car of the elevator. In the case where identification information has been read by the first reader, the determination section determines whether or not the identification information has been read by the second reader before the reading thereof by the first reader. On the basis of the identification information read by the first reader, the request output section outputs a registration request for a call to a control section. In the case where the determination section determines that the identification information has been read by the second reader, the request output section does not output a registration request for a call corresponding to the identification information to the control section.

  • Patent number: 9767443
Abstract: A method and apparatus for timing a notification of an online financial event are disclosed. A sender initiates a financial transaction involving a recipient, such as a transfer payment to the recipient, by sending a message to the recipient and a computer system. The computer system obtains contact information for the sender and recipient from the message, and determines that the financial transaction cannot be completed without additional information from, e.g., the sender. The computer system sends a message to the sender requesting the additional information, and determines a period of time to wait before notifying the recipient that the transfer payment was initiated. If the period of time expires without the sender providing the additional information, the computer system sends the notification message. However, if the sender responds within the period of time, no notification message is sent, thereby avoiding the sending of a potentially unnecessary message.

Abstract: According to the present invention, when a parking floor is set as a remote-hall-operating-panel-installed floor, the parking floor can be canceled. As a result of this, during the movement of a passenger from a remote hall operating panel to an elevator hall, it is possible to prevent a car from being on standby at a remote-hall-operating-panel-installed floor. Therefore, because a car to which a remote hall registration has been assigned can effectively use the moving time of the passenger and hence it is possible to improve the operation efficiency of the whole group supervisory control system. Furthermore, it is possible to reduce useless runs and hence to reduce power consumption.

Abstract: A method and system determine peak power consumption over time by a bank of elevator for servicing a set of passenger hall calls and delivery requests, and selecting elevator schedules that keep peak power consumption below a predetermined threshold. For each car in response to receiving a hall call, a set of all possible paths to service all hall calls assigned to the car are determined, in which each path includes a set of all possible segments. A peak power consumption for each possible segment is also determined. The peak power consumptions for the set of all possible segments for each time instant are added to determine a total peak power consumption for each time instant, and a particular path is selected as a schedule to operate the bank of elevator cars, if the total peak power consumption for any instant in time while operating according to the selected schedule is below a predetermined threshold.

Abstract: A method controls the distribution of free cars in an elevator system. First, the number of free cars in the elevator system are counted whenever this number changes. At the same time, the arrival/destination rates of passengers at each of the floor is determined. The rates are used to identify up-peak and down-peak traffic patterns. The floors of the building are then assigned to zones. The number of floors in each zone is determined according to the arrival rates, and the free cars are then parked in the zones so that the expected waiting time of the next arriving passenger is minimized.

Abstract: An elevator system has a low rise group of floors and a high rise group of floors and a swing car having doors and car call buttons enabling it to operate in either the low rise or high rise, the swing car being assignable to one or the other rise depending upon the burden, but also being able to accept calls in the other rise in response to a variety of characteristics of traffic within the elevator system. In one embodiment, the swing car is always assigned at the lobby to the low rise but proceeds into the high rise in response to hall calls therein; the swing car can accept down calls in the low rise if there is a high burden in the low rise or a down call has been waiting for a long time, or if the car has a very light load. Dedicated cars may be shut down and only the swing cars used at nights and on weekends. At nights and on weekends, the high rise and low rise can be effectively merged into a single system served by swing cars, thereby to save energy in light traffic.
