    Abstract: A connection of a brake lining, preferably a disc brake of a railway vehicle, having a lining mount, wherein the brake lining includes a guide bar on the back side thereof lying in a guide track of the lining mount and held on the lining mount by means of a clamping element of at least one clamping device engaging behind the guide bar under spring load and pressing against the guide track, designed so that the clamping element can be brought out of engagement by an actuating element rotatably or displaceably mounted on the lining mount.

    Abstract: The invention concerns in particular a lining-holder cartridge for a drum brake equipped with shoes comprising a block provided with a rim for fixing a friction lining, the assembly forming a shoe for a drum brake, wherein it comprises a curved support in the form of a cylinder sector able to be fixed directly to the rim of said block, and it is provided with a friction lining with a shape adapted to that of said support. The invention greatly simplifies the replacement of drum brake linings, without removal of the brake blocks.

The longitudinal spacing between the centralized upper and lower lugs is such that a keybridge extending from a rear face of the brake shoe is received and accommodated therebetween whereby inhibiting endwise movement of the brake shoe relative to the brake head.

    Abstract: A brake head positioning means for railcar braking systems. The brake head positioning means is comprised of an attachment means that is engageable with a railcar hanger arm for attaching such brake head positioning means to such railcar hanger arm. An extension means that is engageable with and extends substantially perpendicular to and outwardly from such attachment means is also included. The extension means provides sliding engagement and enables a biasing force to be achieved. Also included is a variable distancing means which is disposed for sliding engagement with and is substantially perpendicular to such extension means adjacent a first end thereof, and is engageable with a brake head adjacent a second end thereof. A biasing means, disposed around and slideably engageable with such extension means for providing a bias to such variable distancing means during service is further included.

    Abstract: A rail vehicle bogie brake has a brake beam (4, 5). Which at its end is provided with a brake block holder (8) having a brake block (9) for brake application against a tread of a wheel. The brake block holder has a transverse cylinder (19) for its pivotable connection with the brake beam. A mounting shaft (14) is attached in the end of the brake beam and is provided with a sleeve (16). The sleeve engages the mounting shaft and has an outer diameter corresponding to the inner diameter of the cylinder. A sleeve plate (17) is held against the sleeve, which is slightly longer than the cylinder, by means of screws (18) attached in the mounting shaft and prestressing the sleeve.
