Recessed Patents (Class 188/253)
  • Patent number: 7377368
Abstract: A disc brake has a brake carrier (10) with at least two bolts (16a, 16b, 18a, 18b) which stand axially to the brake disc for guiding a brake lining (32a, 32b). The plane (P) spanned by the bolt axes has a smaller radial distance (D) from the disc axis (A) than the centroid of the friction lining.

  • Patent number: 6419472
Abstract: The gear unit for a delivery pump installed in a deep borehole has a toothed gear unit with a pinion located on input shaft (2) and a gear wheel engaged with the pinion, which gear wheel is located on a vertical output shaft (5) driving the delivery pump. The gear unit is designed as a right-angle unit with a conical pinion gear (3) located on the input shaft (2) and a bevel gear (6) located on the output shaft (5). Located on the input shaft (2) is a gearwheel (10) which together with a second gearwheel (11) forms a gear pump which conveys fluid in a direction opposite the operational direction of rotation of the gear unit.

  • Patent number: 6371258
Abstract: The invention concerns a means (12) for carrying a friction pad (13), which is a part of a system for retarding rotational movement, e.g. at a rotating shaft. The carrier means (12) is intended for distributing the press force from a brake mechanism via a contact surface to the friction pad (13) mounted upon said means (12). In its active position, the pad cooperates with the surface (10, 18) connected to the object of rotation wherein the carrier means (12) with the friction pad (13) is oriented extending along a sector of the rotation diameter of the contact surface. The carrier means (12) is so designed that the value of the local natural angle frequency varies between one end of said sector of the rotation diameter of the contact surface and the other end of said sector.

  • Patent number: 4546846
Abstract: A hydraulic lock-up anti-theft system which energizes and holds the braking system in the active mode for vehicles in the park position and which includes provisions for ignition interlock to prevent vehicle start-up and provides an alert signal, if mechanical tampering with the systems occurs, is presented. Improvement over the prior art include ability to operate under any environmental temperature variations, elimination of any potential valve seating vibration induced degradation, elimination of necessity for cam position braking mechanisms, minimization of activation loads in manual arming and positioning and the ability to add parallel and independent activation circuits to the design.
