Abstract: An apparatus for removing hulls from nuts includes a rotating drum with protrusions on its surface, a hulling plate and a separator plate. Rotation of the drum causes nuts deposited on an upper surface of the drum surface between the hulling plate and the separator plate to be impinged by the protrusions against the hulling plate, thereby removing the hulls and pushing the hulls through a hulling gap between the hulling plate and the upper surface of the drum, while the hulled nuts pass through a separator gap between the separator plate and the upper surface of the drum, thereby separating the hulled nuts.
Abstract: A gaming environment, in which a payout corresponding to a selection item selected by a player is provided, is described. Especially a gaming environment, in which in the second stage screen, when a symbol of “STRAWBERRY” is displayed on the position of the treasure boxes 101 which is in an open state, the game is proceeded to the final stage form the second stage based on that the player touches the next stage button 103B though the touch panel 11, the open and close states of each treasure box 101 on the final stage screen becomes the same as those on the second stage screen, is described.
Abstract: An apparatus and method enables a synthetic fiber tow of indeterminate length passed through a break drawframe to be converted to relatively short spinnable staple length fibers in the form of sliver. During passing through the drawframe, a concentrated beam of energy, illustrated as being a laser beam is swept across the tow by a rotating mirror and in the course of doing so, effectively cuts the tow fibers where struck by the laser beam. In one embodiment the laser beam stays on while sweeping across the width of the tow and then repeats that cycle in a succeeding section of tow. In another embodiment, the laser beam is energized and deenergized as it transverses across one section of tow and in the next succeeding section of tow the laser beam is actuated in a different time cycle.
Abstract: Apparatus for removing foreign matter from cotton comprising a plurality of extractor cylinders in series, and a plurality of reclaimer cylinders in parallel, one for each of the extractor cylinders, wherein the first reclaimer cylinder directs reclaimed cotton to the second extractor cylinder in the series.

Abstract: A process is provided for the manufacture of filament yarns having fine protruding filament ends, which comprises subjecting filament yarns, wherein at least part of the filaments consist of polymers the lateral bending resistance (Knickscheuerbestandigkeit) of which can be thermally influenced, to an intermittent sectional treatment, thus ensuring that determined sections of the filaments have a low lateral bending resistance, and by subsequently breaking these sections of low lateral bending resistance by transverse stress, which causes formation of the desired free filament ends.
Abstract: A process is provided for the manufacture of filament yarn having protruding filament ends on the basis of synthetic high polymers by melt spinning of the polymers through spinning nozzles, which comprises subjecting the multifilaments still hot after having left the spinning nozzle to a section cooling which causes determined sections of the single filaments to have a different molecular structure, and by subsequently drawing the filaments in a ratio which is greater than corresponding to those filament sections having a lower drawing ratio, and smaller than corresponding to those filament sections having a higher drawing ratio, thus causing the formation of determined breaks which supply the desired fiber ends.
