Ice Clearers Or Preventers Patents (Class 191/62)
  • Patent number: 10258744
Abstract: A pharmaceutical syringe piston having a longitudinal axis includes a body having a central face portion with a first outer circumference and maximum first diameter. A cylindrical sealing portion proximate the central face portion has first and second axial ends and a wall extending therebetween. The wall has a second outer circumference and a second diameter essentially constant along the longitudinal axis between the first and second axial ends of the cylindrical sealing portion and is larger than the maximum first diameter. An annular curved portion has a maximum outer diameter less than the second diameter and connects the first axial end of the cylindrical sealing portion to the first outer circumference. An inert film encloses the central face portion and at least a part of the annular curved portion and has an outer boundary between the first axial end of the cylindrical sealing portion and the first outer circumference.

  • Patent number: 4212378
Abstract: A device for de-icing power cables consisting of one or more wheeled dollies mounted for rolling movement along a cable, being movable along the cable by "loping" of the cable in wind when ice has formed on the cable, and having scrapers thereon capable of removing ice from the cable, and arms affixed transversely to the cable at intervals therealong and having unequal weights carried at their extended ends, the arms serving as stops to limit the rolling movement of the dollies, and by rocking movement thereof induced by wind, to apply torsion to the cable to loosen ice formed on the cable.

  • Patent number: 4101014
Abstract: Electrically nonconductive rotary cleaner elements supported for movement into and out of contact with a third rail of an electrified railway vehicle includes sets of cleaner elements arranged in tandem along one side of an adjustable carriage. The carriage is mounted in a frame structure having a device for rigidly attaching the frame to a wheel truck portion of the railway vehicle. Power driving apparatus received in the carriage provide for vertical movements of the carriage in the frame as well as actuating the rotary cleaner elements. The drive apparatus is responsive to a control device located in the cab of the railway vehicle. A counterbalancing weight arrangement mounted in the frame and attached to upper sides of the carriage provides for uniformly guided travel of the carriage in all positions.
