  • Patent number: 5931276
Abstract: An adjustable chute for X-ray sheet film having different film formats. The chute is further developed in such a way that sheet film received from a cassette loading and unloading station of a daylight cassette loading and unloading device is to be centrically introduced into, and deposited in a light-tight collecting magazine. For this purpose, the chute comprises two guide holders which are arranged in one plane for guiding sheet film from the loading and unloading device into the magazine. The guide holders are pivotable about oppositely and fixedly spaced pivot points for providing an input opening for the sheet film. Setting device arranged adjacent to an output opening of the chute centrically adjusts the guide holders to the film format of the sheet film supplied to the magazine.

  • Patent number: 5911667
Abstract: The objects (6) fall into a well (10) where their fall is slowed down by slanted blades (13) covered by a damping layer and situated in front of a counter-wall (14) from which they are separated by a gap (16). The counter-wall (14) is elastic so as to make the objects falling onto it rebound towards the lower blade. An outgoing track of the well (26) having a round shape is covered with a damping layer which absorbs the free fall energy at the outlet of the device. The invention can be applied to the continuous bulk carrying of fragile objects, such as pellets.

  • Patent number: 5775478
Abstract: A position regulating parts feeder has a rotary hopper (11) and a slanted chute (20) fixed in the hopper that has lift plates (12) secured to its inner periphery. The chute is composed of an upstream receiving section (21), a middle sorting section (22) and a downstream discharging section (23). A groove (51) formed in the upstream section has an open top and is of a depth enough to wholly embrace each of the parts (1) lying on its side such that its front and rear faces are oriented sideways. The side walls have upper oblique zones (31c) and (41c) to widen the groove towards its top. A path defined in the middle section and continuing from the groove is composed of a main passageway (53) extending to the downstream section for transfer of the regularly positioned parts, and an auxiliary passageway (54) branching off from the main one for transfer of the inverse parts to an outlet (35) formed in a bottom of the chute.

  • Patent number: 5407056
Abstract: An apparatus and a method for distributively feeding a plurality of winding bobbins to predetermined locations, wherein the winding bobbins can simultaneously be fitted onto a rotational shaft without the necessity for large-sized equipment. The apparatus includes a distributing section to which a plurality of winding bobbins are fed while arranged in side-by-side relationship as seen in the axial direction. The distributing section includes a plurality of inclined surfaces so as to allow the winding bobbins to be supported from below. After the winding bobbins are placed on the inclined surfaces, they are distributively fed to the predetermined location along the inclined surfaces in the specifically determined direction.

  • Patent number: 5360092
Abstract: A method for positioning an electrical component for pick-up by a pick-and-place device which includes removing the electrical component directly from a storage tube through a window formed in the storage tube. The electrical components slide in the storage tube to a desired removal position which is adjacent the window, and are removed through the window using a pick-up tool. A modified storage tube formed with the window is also disclosed, along with a connecting hole with which the storage tube is connected to a fixture. The fixture includes a pin which fits into the connecting hole.

  • Patent number: 4096731
Abstract: A method and apparatus is provided for transferring articles between successive work stations at which working operations are effected. More particularly, the workpieces are transferred between the forming stations on a multistage forming press. On completion of a machining operation, a burst of the coolant/lubricant emulsion used in the forming press is fired at the workpiece from a propelling nozzle located near the forming station. The workpiece is thus propelled to the next station along a curved guideway which comprises a smooth, curved track bounded by guiderails. On arrival at the next station, the workpiece is guided into position by guide members and finally positioned exactly by means of a burst of the same coolant/lubricant emulsion fired from a positioning nozzle located near the station. Regulating mechanisms are provided to fire bursts of emulsion in time with the working stroke of the press.

  • Patent number: 3974904
Abstract: An improved adjustable track cover assembly is provided which facilitates adjustable positioning of a track cover over a work blank feed track and which maintains the position established. The track cover assembly includes a cover supporting bracket which is operatively supported by an adjusting screw in threaded engagement therewith. The adjusting screw is supported for selective adjusting rotation relative to the cover bracket. Snubbing means, including spring means and a member in threaded engagement with the adjusting screw, coact with the bracket to impede relative rotation between the bracket and adjusting screw and thereby maintain a fixed positioning of the track cover. Additional spring means, associated with the adjusting screw support, coact with the adjusting screw to maintain a fixed positioning of the adjusting screw.
