A sliding structure is on the beam. The sliding structure comprises a bracket having an upwardly facing surface; and roller bearings on the upwardly facing surface of the bracket for ease in slidingly placing and removing the vessel from the support structure. A fastener fastens the sliding structure to the beam.

The basket has a frame that includes frame elements that define a bottom wall, relatively long front and back walls, and relatively short side walls that connect the front wall and the back wall. The front, back, and side walls extend from respective sides of the bottom wall in a common direction. And the basket further includes a rotating element at the top of at least one of the side walls to facilitate drawing rumble strips lengthwise over the side wall into or out of the basket.

The ball frame has a long body which is provided in one side thereof with a plurality of balls and at both ends thereof with a long cover plate. The long cover plate is provided with a long hole extending along the direction of the longitudinal axis thereof. The long body is further provided at both ends thereof with a shoulder of a predetermined length and extending along the longitudinal side of the cover plate.

    Abstract: A tool for protecting a boiling water reactor component against damage by a shroud repair assembly suspended from a cable and lowered into the downcomer annulus. The tool has a roller with an outer surface made of a material which will not scratch the surface of a tie rod of the shroud repair assembly as the latter is lowered relative to the roller. The tool has sets of opposing grippers made of aluminum alloy which are pressed against opposing surfaces of the shroud and the reactor pressure vessel with sufficient force to clamp the tool in the annulus. The pressing force is generated by air-actuated cylinders which are actuated remotely. In one embodiment, the roller is fixed and acts as a stop to limit tangential travel of the suspended assembly. In another embodiment, the roller is displaceable in a tangential direction in response to remote actuation of a pair of air-actuated positioning cylinders.

    Abstract: A tool for radially positioning a hoisted load suspended from the refueling bridge by a cable and facilitating lowering of the hoisted load into the downcomer annulus of a boiling water reactor. During repair of the shroud, hardware must be lowered into the annulus for installation. The hardware installation in turn requires the lowering of tooling into the annulus and its subsequent removal via cables. The feedwater sparger and core spray piping are located above and partially obstruct the vertical access to the annulus. To protect the feedwater sparger and core spray piping against damage during the lowering of various hardware and tooling into the annulus, a cover is installed over the feedwater sparger and core spray piping at the azimuthal location of the hoist. This cover further limits the vertical access to the annulus. A steam dam slide with a cable manipulator is seated on the shroud flange at the azimuthal location of the repair procedure.

    Abstract: A roller support attachment is mounted on the cross piece of a conventional sawhorse through the use of a pair of bolts. Each of the bolts extends through slots in the side plates of the attachment and through holes in the cross piece of the sawhorse. In an alternate embodiment one bolt extends through an elongated slot in the side plates of the attachment and through a hole in the cross piece of the sawhorse while the second bolt extends through the side plates and rests on top of the cross piece of the sawhorse. The elongated slots may be straight or arcuate. An inverted channel shaped member may be positioned on a plurality of spaced apart rollers and move with the work piece as it moves through the saw.

    Abstract: An adjustable work support that is received on an upright post of standard cross-sectional lumber dimensions. The support includes an elongated work supporting arm member. The arm is formed of an elongated channel having longitudinally spaced upright folded tabs. The tabs rotatably mount a workpiece holding roller. Furcations extend beyond one end of the channel. A spaced pair of cross members interconnect the furcations at elevationally offset locations. The cross members are horizontally spaced by a distance substantially equal to a standard cross-sectional measurement of an upright post. The cross members are arranged in relation to the channel and roller so they will bind against the upright post when the roller is held in a substantially horizontal position, and so they will disengage from the post when the roller is inclined from the horizontal position. Thus, the arm can be selectively positioned at any desired elevational location on the upright post.

A pivotal connection between roller conveyor sections allows the backs of the roller conveyor sections to be moved over one another for storage and transport and to be pivoted apart into a cross with the legs thereof extending at right angles to one another. A plurality of conveyor crosses are installed on support tracks positioned beneath the mobile home section to provide support for that mobile home section at strategic points. Rollers of the lower roller conveyor sections are arranged to travel on the support tracks while the roller portions of the upper roller conveyor sections engage and support thereon longitudinal frame members of the mobile home section.

The process may be employed solely to initially start to lay a submergible elongate structure or the process may be employed to both start to lay a submergible elongate structure and to subsequently lay a submergible elongate structure.
