Abstract: A money input/output apparatus includes a bill accommodation unit, a mount unit, a detection unit, a second storage unit, an instruction reception unit, a conveyance unit, and a control unit. The control unit reads the denomination of the bill from the first storage unit and determines whether or not the read denomination of the bill corresponds to the denomination stored in the second storage unit in association with the mount unit on which mounting of the bill accommodation unit has been detected when the detection unit has detected that the bill accommodation unit has been mounted on the mount unit, starts reception of an instruction to input or output to the bill from the instruction receiving unit and makes the conveyance unit convey the bill in accordance with the instruction when the denominations have been determined to correspond. Thereby, a bill accommodation unit can be used for all denominations.

The control device controls the means and the cleaning device in such a way that the spacing between the transport device and the sensor device is enlarged by the means while the cleaning device cleans the sensor device.

Each cam guide 5 comprises a distal path 10 for guiding movement of follower 6 to transport validator 2 in a spaced relation to bracket 7, and an access path 11 for guiding follower 6 passed through distal path 10 to bring validator 2 to the fixed position.

Abstract: A banknote processing device includes a differentiating section that differentiates banknotes, a temporary holding section that temporarily stores the differentiated banknotes, banknote storage containers that store the banknotes, and a conveyance route that connects the differentiating section, the temporary holding section, and the banknote storage containers. Abstract: A mobile communication device and method for identifying a counterfeit bill are provided. In the method, an InfraRed (IR) image of a bill is received, feature values are extracted from the IR image to represent edges, a binary image having displayed pixels and non-displayed pixels is generated based on the feature values, and a corrected image is generated by overlaying the binary image on a pre-stored real bill database and adjusting the binary image to match a predetermined area of the binary image matches to the predetermined area of the real bill database. A number of displayed pixels in the corrected image is counted, and whether the bill is counterfeit is based on the number of displayed pixels in the corrected image.

Abstract: In a sheet processing apparatus which checks sheets and sorts the sheets for a plurality of cassettes on the basis of the check result and conditions for the sheets which are assigned to the respective cassettes, conditions for sheets such as bill types and bill states which are assigned to the respective cassettes are displayed on a display unit. In the operational position, at least one of the dispense belt members is disposed to remove an item from the stack position and provide the removed item to the feed belt members. The feed belt members are arranged to locate an item of media received from the dispense belt members at said first location.

Abstract: An input receptacle receives currency bills and checks. A transport mechanism transports the bills and checks along a transport path to an output receptacle. An image scanner, adjacent the transport path, is configured to generate one or more electrical signals from which image data can be derived. The image data is reproducible as a visually readable image of at least a portion of each of the plurality of documents. A controller is configured to determine a denomination of each of the currency bills. In response to the controller not determining a denomination of one of the currency bills, the controller flags the currency bill as a no-call document by causing at least a portion of the image data to be displayed as a visually readable image of the flagged currency bill on the display.

Abstract: A method and device for evaluating currency bills using a strapping unit that allows a currency evaluating device to automatically strap stacks of currency bills. Currency bills are placed in an input receptacle and an evaluating unit processes each currency bill one at a time. The currency bills are then transported to a plurality of output receptacles. A stack moving mechanism transports a stack of currency bills, which contains a predetermined number of currency bills, from each of the plurality of output receptacles to the strapping unit or a strapping position. Each stack of currency bills is strapped using strapping material.
