Patent number: 10011941Abstract: A washing machine appliance includes a reservoir having a height along a vertical direction. The height of the reservoir is no greater than six inches. A supply conduit extends between the reservoir and a Venturi pump. The Venturi pump is coupled to the supply conduit such that the Venturi pump draws fluid additive from the reservoir when a water valve is open and water flows through the Venturi pump.Type: GrantFiled: March 15, 2016Date of Patent: July 3, 2018Assignee: Haier US Appliance Solutions, Inc.Inventors: Alexander B. Patent number: 5909795Abstract: An improved bulk vending machine coin mechanism and counter combination is provided. In all of the embodiments, the combination coin mechanism and counter comprises a coin mechanism designed to be partially received into an opening in a bulk vending machine, having a selectively rotatable cam having an eccentrically shaped portion. All of the coin counters are attached to a portion of the coin mechanism inside of the bulk vending machine, and each has a numeric display. A first embodiment has a pivotally mounted switch connected to the numeric display. A second embodiment has a reed-switch connected to the display and a pivotally mounted magnet arm, in place of the pivotal switch. A third embodiment has a reed-switch, and a fourth embodiment has an inductive coil, mounted on the bracket so as to bring the rotation of the eccentric portion of the cam proximate to the reed-switch and/or inductive coil.Type: GrantFiled: April 24, 1998Date of Patent: June 8, 1999Assignee: Nova Resolution Industries, Inc.Inventors: Elliott Porco, Nikolay Nikolayev

Patent number: 5421444Abstract: A disk actuated mechanism for a toy which accepts and responds to disks of different diameters. The mechanism can be adapted to a housing having a circular opening in the housing and a disk reservoir in the housing located below the circular opening. A shaft connects the opening and the disk reservoir. A disk carrier is mounted in the shaft for vertical movement from the opening towards a disk discharge position. A handle is connected to the disk carrier for moving the carrier to the disk discharge position. A mechanism engages a disk on the disk carrier to determine its diameter and provide an output indicative of its diameter. A detent mechanism is provided to prevent the handle from moving the disk carrier to the disk discharge position unless a disk is inserted in the disk carrier. Downward insertion of the disk into the disk carrier disengages the detent mechanism and allows the handle to move the disk carrier to the disk discharge position.Type: GrantFiled: February 10, 1994Date of Patent: June 6, 1995Assignee: Meyer/Glass DesignInventor: John R. Patent number: 4981024Abstract: A system for injecting a laundry chemical into a washing machine includes means for injecting a chemical into a washing machine and coin-operated means for actuating it. One embodiment includes interconnected first, second, and third components configured for use with a source of a laundry chemical, a source of water, and a washing machine of the type having a washing machine cycle, a start switch for starting the washing machine cycle, and a known water flow pattern that occurs after the washing machine cycle has started. The first component produces a first signal indicative of the washing machine cycle having started, the second component produces a second signal indicative of a flow of water from the separate water source into the washing machine, and the third component responds to the first and second signals to identify an occurrence of the known water flow pattern after the washing machine cycle has started and control the injection of a chemical into the washing machine accordingly.Type: GrantFiled: February 3, 1989Date of Patent: January 1, 1991Assignee: Belco Equipment, Inc.Inventor: Paul M. Patent number: 4687089Abstract: In the stacking chamber (9) of a stacking box (50) for superimposed coins (2, 3), a stack carrier (11) supporting the stacked coins is arranged, the top surface (18) of which is inclined with respect to the horizontal (c). For the stacking of coins, the stack carrier (11) is lowered so that the uppermost (3) of the stacked coins (2, 3) is in each case closely below the upper stacking box rim (19). For issuing coins, the stack carrier (11) is lifted, during which step respectively the uppermost (3) of the coins (2, 3) stacked in an oblique position slides along the coin lying therebelow and downwards over the upper stacking box rim once this uppermost coin has been lifted above this rim.Type: GrantFiled: August 26, 1985Date of Patent: August 18, 1987Assignee: Autelca AG.Inventor: Werner Wuethrich
