Patent number: 10634858Abstract: An optical transceiver includes a casing, a fastening member, a pivotal member and a driving member. The driving member is disposed on the casing, and the driving member is movable relative to the casing in a press direction. The pivotal member includes a pivoting shaft and a pressed portion connected to each other. The pivoting shaft of the pivotal member is pivoted on the casing. The pressed portion has a pressed point, and a virtual line passing through the pressed portion and the pivoting shaft is non-parallel to the press direction. When the driving member is moved in the press direction to press the pressed point, the pivotal member is pivoted. The fastening member is movably disposed on the casing to be either in a fastened position or a released position. The pivotal member is pivotable to move the fastening member from the fastened position to the released position.Type: GrantFiled: December 21, 2017Date of Patent: April 28, 2020Assignee: Prime World International Holdings Ltd.Inventors: Che-Shou Yeh, Hsuan-Chen Shiu, Hsiang-Jen Lu

Patent number: 7789213Abstract: The invention relates to an article-dispensing machine. The inventive machine comprises: a structure (1), a removable container (2) for articles, and a dispensing mechanism on the base of the container (2), which is actuated by an actuation shaft that is coupled to the shaft of a coin or token selector (6) which is mounted in the structure (1) in order to dispense one or more articles from the container (2) through a delivery outlet (7) following the introduction of one or more coins or tokens. According to the invention, when the door (15) is in the closed position, a single closure device (55), which is associated with said door (15), can be used to lock the container (2), the coin selector (6) and a coin or token collection box (52) in the respective operating positions thereof. When the aforementioned door (15) is open, the container (2) can be refilled or removed, the coin selector (6) can be removed and the collection box (52) can be accessed without the use of tools.Type: GrantFiled: January 24, 2005Date of Patent: September 7, 2010Assignee: Discapa, S.L.Inventors: Joan Carles Jimenez, Miguel Delgado, Antoni Vilagines, Xavier Clua, Carles Marti

Patent number: 6964328Abstract: A method and apparatus for an improved rotary coin mechanism that prevents the theft of vending machine items by preventing the maintained presence of a theft tool used by a thief to interfere with the operation of a coin detector so that a coin slot without a coin of the prescribed size can be rotated past the coin detector to allow product to vend without the insertion of a coin of the prescribed size. The invention closes a gap between the rotating coin disc and the mechanism casing after a coin slot has entered into the rotary coin mechanism casing so that the theft tool cannot be maintained in an inserted position for a sufficient range of rotation of the rotary coin mechanism handle. The invention applies to rotary coin mechanisms that require one or more coins in order to obtain the vended item.Type: GrantFiled: June 24, 2003Date of Patent: November 15, 2005Assignee: New Concept VendingInventors: Richard A. Patent number: 6135260Abstract: A rotary coin mechanism is provided with a braking system in which one end of a stationary brake arm is anchored to the frame of the mechanism. The other end of the brake arm provides a breaking ring which surrounds the hub of the drive gear and applies a compressive force thereto, to frictionally restrain the drive gear and thus prevent the coin mechanism from free-wheeling rotation. In the preferred embodiment the braking ring is open at one end and merges into a bifurcated stem which provides an adjusting screw to adjust the compressive force applied by the braking ring.Type: GrantFiled: October 21, 1998Date of Patent: October 24, 2000Assignee: Machine-O-Matic LimitedInventor: Josef W. Patent number: 6076650Abstract: A coin mechanism for a vender includes a blocking member biased to a rest position retracted from the coin slot, and pivotable between the rest position and a blocking position in which the blocking member substantially covers the coin slot. The blocking member cooperates with a rotatable member which forces the blocking member into the blocking position upon rotation of the handle.Type: GrantFiled: April 7, 1998Date of Patent: June 20, 2000Assignee: Machine-O-Matic LimitedInventor: Josef W. Patent number: 5950793Abstract: A coin mechanism includes a coin conveyor provided with a hub on its front face, which rotates in a recess formed in the rear face of the cover plate. The hub reinforces the structural integrity of the coin conveyor, allowing the mechanism to accommodate large coins without diminishing the reliability of the rotational locking mechanism. Preferably the recess is dimensioned as a bearing for the frontal hub, which secures the coin conveyor against shifting due to wearing of parts so that the mechanism retains a high tolerance for measuring the diameter of the coin over a longer period of time.Type: GrantFiled: December 12, 1997Date of Patent: September 14, 1999Inventor: Josef W. Patent number: 5509521Abstract: An improved coin receiving mechanism for a vending machine, especially of the bulk vending machine type, and a method for operation thereof. The coin receiving mechanism accepts magnetic coins of a proper denomination and rejects other coins. The improved coin receiving mechanism includes a coin reception slot into which a coin of proper denomination can be received, a coin rejection slot aligned with respect to the coin reception slot so that a coin received in the coin reception slot is expelled from the coin receiving mechanism through the coin rejection slot, and a magnet mounted adjacent to the coin reception slot and adapted to apply a magnetic field to retain a magnetic coin in the coin receiving mechanism so that the magnetic coin can be directed into a coin storage area.Type: GrantFiled: November 24, 1993Date of Patent: April 23, 1996Assignee: Northwestern CorporationInventor: Richard K. Patent number: 5339937Abstract: An improved coin receiving portion for a bulk vending machine, and a method for operation thereof, for accepting coins of a proper denomination and rejecting coins of other than the proper denomination. The improved coin receiving portion includes a coin wheel having a hub for connecting to a handle for operating the coin receiving portion to dispense bulk product and a first slot in the coin wheel for receiving and retaining therein a coin of a proper denomination and for receiving and expelling therefrom coins of other than the proper denomination through a second slot that passes through at least a portion of the hub.Type: GrantFiled: August 23, 1991Date of Patent: August 23, 1994Assignee: The Northwestern CorporationInventor: Richard K. Patent number: 5070986Abstract: A vending device for vending machines comprises a spiral coil connected to a coin-operated mechanism that allows rotation thereof and the connected coil when predetermined coins have been inserted into the mechanism. The loops making up the coil comprise closely spaced neighboring loops, remote from the mechanism, capable of supporting and transporting product to be vended as the coil is rotated, and distantly spaced neighboring loops, incapable of supporting the product. As the coil is turned, product is transported toward the mechanism until it reaches the distantly spaced loops where it drops from the spiral into a chute accessible by the purchaser. The mechanism is rotated by coin receivers that are blocked from rotating by spring-urged pawls unless predetermined coins have been inserted therein, or unless disabling tabs are interposed between the receivers and the pawls.Type: GrantFiled: March 12, 1990Date of Patent: December 10, 1991Assignee: Arlan J.
