By Means Mounting A Section For Lateral Swinging Movement Patents (Class 198/587)
  • Patent number: 11447348
Abstract: A single drive dual hopper conveyor system is presented having a center conveyor system and a pair of side conveyor systems that are connected to one another. A single motor is connected to the center conveyor system and drives movement of a belt within the center conveyor system. The connection of the center conveyor system to the side conveyor system causes the belts of the side conveyor systems to be simultaneously driven as the belt of the center conveyor system is driven. This arrangement eliminates the need for multiple motors. A guide at the center of the belts is configured to guide the belts through the center of the housings and prevent the buildup of grain within a cut-out section of the flights of the belt that is needed to allow access to the links of the belts to facilitate driving of the belts.

Abstract: A swivelling arrangement for controlling relative angular movement between two components comprises a yoke pivotally mounted on one of the components and pivotally movable under the action of a ram. The yoke has two limbs to the radially outermost ends of which are fixedly secured the ends of a drive chain arranged drivably to engage a drive sprocket fixedly secured to other of the components.

  • Patent number: 4043442
Abstract: Apparatus for transferring pouches from a conveyor into product buckets of a cartoner. The pouches are deposited in shingled fashion in spaced groups on two slow moving parallel conveyors. Mounted on the same frame are two fast-moving conveyors which overlap the slower conveyors. At the junctions of the conveyors check and release mechanisms are provided which in the load engaging position raise the level of the slow conveyors above the fast ones and in the disengaged position raise the fast conveyors above the slow conveyors to facilitate the transfer. The pouches are transferred to the fast moving conveyors to increase the longitudinal separation between pouches. Two side-by-side groups of pouches are marshalled at the end of the fast moving conveyors by another check and release mechanism. The fast moving conveyors are swung alongside continuously moving product buckets, and during such swinging movement the pouches are deposited into the product buckets.

  • Patent number: 3982625
Abstract: A sorter system for articles such as baggage, mail bags, cartons, and the like is provided which combines a high speed main or sorting conveyor and a feed or induction conveyor, or a plurality of such induction conveyors along the length of the main conveyor. The induction conveyors are for the purpose of loading the main conveyor by depositing articles thereon with a velocity imparted to the articles in the direction of movement of the main conveyor which is substantially equal to the high rate of main conveyor velocity thereby avoiding shock. The arrangement is such that articles having length and width are deposited on an induction conveyor to travel in the direction of their length and be deposited on the main conveyor transversely of the motion thereof and thus oriented widthwise on the main conveyor to reduce the area required per article on the main conveyor.
