Abstract: The present invention relates to breathable, vented, and insulating cold weather garments. More particularly, the present invention relates to garments with chambers to retain an insulating fill material. Perforations along the seams between the insulating chambers may achieve optimal evaporative moisture transfer from the inside (proximal to the body of a wearer) of the garment to the outside environment.

Abstract: A garment is provided including an overlap panel, an intermediate panel seamlessly joined with a first lower portion at an outer fold, the intermediate panel including an upper portion disposed above the first lower portion, and an inner panel seamlessly joined with the upper portion at an inner fold, the inner panel extending downward beyond the first lower portion of the overlap panel. The overlap panel, the intermediate panel and the inner panel form a unitary, continuous textile or body. At least one of the intermediate panel and the inner panel define a plurality of vent holes that are concealed by the overlap panel. The vent holes promote venting of air from an interior of the garment to an exterior of the garment or vice versa. A related method of manufacture also is provided.

Abstract: A humanized care clothing includes: a coat body, a front body thereof including left and right front side sheets spaced a full open vacancy and a detachable connecting sheet covering the vacancy, two shoulders of the connecting sheet being connectable with or detachable from two shoulder portions of a rear body, and left and right sides thereof the two opposite sides of the left and right front side sheets; a pair of restricting sleeve, two receiving pockets, two limiting pockets, a lower body clothing, the pair of buttoning sleeves being detachable from and connectable with the respective left and right front side sheets, the receiving pocket for each restricting sleeve being sewn below it, the limiting pocket being respectively overlapped with the outer parts of the receiving pockets and capable of connecting the clothing sleeve with the lower body clothing; and a collar member.

Abstract: A motion-activated venting system for incorporation into an article of apparel is described herein. The motion-activated venting system may comprise a variety of pleats having one or more folded edges and a ventilation region having a plurality of apertures. In a first state, the one or more folded edges overlie the ventilation region such that the plurality of apertures is covered. In a second state, the one or more folded edges are remote from the ventilation region such that the plurality of apertures is exposed. Further, in an intermediate state, the motion-activated venting system is partially open, thereby exposing a portion of the plurality of apertures.

Abstract: A garment, especially a sports garment, having a section which at least partially covers the body of a wearer, wherein the section has at least one venting element for allowing an air flow to flow from the outside of the garment through the section into the inner of the garment for cooling a part of the body of the wearer. To improve the cooling during the movement of the wearer of the garment an actuating mechanism is arranged for opening and closing the venting element in dependence of the movement of a part of the body of the wearer during the use of the garment.

Abstract: A garment having a collar, the garment comprising: a placket, extending the length of the garment and having spaced apart first and a second buttons substantially nearer to the collar than a third button; wherein a portion of the placket intermediate the first and second button comprises a fly-front placket hiding an intermediate button therein; and wherein a remaining portion of the placket is not a fly front placket.

Abstract: A garment includes a first side, possibly corresponding to a user's front. The first side includes left and right portions that each have a free mating edge. Fastener elements are attached to or formed in each of the right and left portions of the garment. One of the two portions includes a two layer placket. Some of the fastener elements include a portion on the outer layer of the two layer placket. At least one interstitial fastener element is positioned only on the inner layer and is between two other fastener elements that include a portion on the outer layer. The at least one interstitial fastener element may be positioned at a wearer's chest or waist region to minimize or eliminate gapping of the shirt in areas of larger girth.

Abstract: A garment for securing and storing bodily fluid drainage reservoirs and other fluid reservoirs. The garment comprises a loose-fitting body with at least one small aperture for receiving drainage tubing and at least one pocket cloth partly fixed to the body of the garment and partly detachably coupled to the body of the garment which allows for the easy storage and removal of the fluid drainage reservoir. The pocket cloth allows for the continuing support of the drainage reservoir as the drainage reservoir becomes heavier e.g. about 1 kilogram, due to the collection of fluid draining from the patient into the drainage reservoir. The secure storage of the drainage reservoir enables the wearer to move without worry of the drainage reservoir coming loose, losing fluid, or being exposed to a non-sterile environment external to the pocket cloth. The garment may be configured for wear by male and female children and adults.

Abstract: A labor and delivery outfit designed to provide function, comfort and dignity, comprises: a sleeveless, wrap shirt having an upper portion with nursing flaps, lower portions extending from the flaps, a back having straps, lower portions defining an opening therebetween; a built-in, supporting, nursing bra with nursing cups, releasable fasteners for covering the nursing cups, and, a wrap skirt having an elastic waist, a built-in pregnancy panel, and, a rear zipper. Releasable fasteners are provided for fastening the rear lower portions to the upper portion of the shirt, thereby providing access to the spine.

Abstract: A novelty tank top derived from a man's undergarment. The inverted undergarment is worn over the upper torso of the wearer. The novelty tank top has an anterior pocket for carrying small items and a spandex liner that improves the functionality of the tank top.

Abstract: A shirt is configured as a novelty item and includes first and second indicia on the front panel thereof wherein the indicia are related to one another in meaning. The second indicia is covered by a flap which is readily movable by a person other than the wearer of the shirt to expose the second indicia.

Abstract: A breast binder for the suppression of postpartum lactation and for relieving the discomfort of breast engorgement includes a double layer of cloth panels joined end to end in torso encircling configuration; a plurality of releasable and adjustable fastening means disposed vertically along the ends of the binder, each of which can be independently adjusted to provide the compression to the breasts required to suppress lactation; and, shoulder straps having individually adjustable fastening means to optimize uplift support to the breasts to relieve the discomfort of breast engorgement.

Abstract: A unitary article of apparel includes a shirt portion having a dyed portion thereon. The dyed portion is in the shape of a tie, so as to create a combination shirt and tie. This combination is machine washable. The dyed portion has a fastener means formed therein which permits the shirt portion to be opened and closed (as desired) for use as casual wear or formal wear, respectively. In one embodiment, the dye comprises a "puffed" ink dye, thereby providing a three-dimensional effect and contributing to the realism.

Abstract: The invention is a therapeutic body suit designed to produce therapeutic pressure on the abdominal and lower abdominal body areas as an aid to healing after certain types of surgery including: liposuction abdominal plasty; hysterectomy; cesarean section; mastectomy and breast surgery; and hernia. This invention may be utilized on women and men. The invention consists of three major components. The first component is a body suit designed to provide theraputic pressure. The second component is an elastic binding surrounding the body suit with detachable and adjustable ends designed to enhance the therapeutic pressure of the body suit. The third component is a breathing elastic crotch therapeutically supporting binding attached in a removable manner to the second component.

Abstract: A shirt including an interior panel preventing the shirt from becoming open. A security cloth having opposite ends is fastened to the vertical seams of the shirt which extend downwardly from the arm holes. The security cloth includes top ends fastened to seams extending on the shirt from the uppermost portion of the arm holes to the neck opening. Fastening means in the middle of the security cloth allow the security cloth to be opened and closed when the shirt is put on and taken off.

Abstract: A knit shirt for female athletes is provided with straps for selectively and adjustably constraining the breasts of an athlete wearing the shirt. Three sets of straps having mating Velcro surfaces are shown. An optional applique panel is illustrated.
