  • Patent number: 4656672
Abstract: A pretied necktie comprising a semirigid knot support, a front tie member fixed to and wrapped around the knot support, and a rear tie member having a loop-shaped, neck-encircling upper end which can be enlarged or reduced in size by means of a zip fastener comprising two continuous strings of interlockable elements that are symmetrically secured onto opposite portions of the loop and pass through a slider connected to the knot support. The slider comprises a small elongated hooking member integrally projecting from one of its side. This hooking member acts as the male element of a snap fastener. The female element of this snap fastener is defined by a small slot provided in the front wall of the knot support. The use of such a snap fastener makes the pretied necktie very easy to assemble.

  • Patent number: 4627113
Abstract: A decorative neckwear device incorporates a simulated four-in-hand necktie knot positioned in front of the wearer's neck by an adjustable non-elastic neckband, and supporting a vertically elongated array of a plurality of independent thin flat panels hingingly joined together to form a flexible supple depending panel array. The thin flat panels may be formed of various different colorful decorative materials such as thin sheets of colored glass, plastic, metal or wood veneers, cemented to a supporting fabric strip. Matching pairs of panels bonded to the front and rear faces of the strip form thin sandwich panels, making the panel array attractive when viewed from either front or back.

  • Patent number: 4610037
Abstract: A tie panel extends down from a tie knot to which is attached a neckband for disposition around the neck of a wearer so that the tie panel extends downwardly from the tie knot when the tie is worn. A number of buttonholes extend through the tie panel and receive the buttons from the wearer's shirt to thereby position the tie up against the wearer's shirt. Additionally, the tie panel is formed with stitching along its edging simulating the stitching on the wearer's shirt front. The lower end of the tie panel is tapered inwardly and formed to be folded under and against the rear face of the tie panel; and to be adjustably secured in position by means of a pair of spaced straps, a number of buttonholes and an attaching button all secured to the rear face of the tie panel. When so selectively secured the tie length can be adjusted according to the wearer's height, body proportions and personal desires.

  • Patent number: 4337539
Abstract: A support and fastening means for producing a pre-tied necktie, using a modified form of body member and spring clamp thereon, in which the spring clamp and body member eliminate costly and expensive labor while producing a superior product. This result is accomplished by molding the body member with a horizontally slotted front arm which slidably receives the spring clamp, the body member and spring clamp further having complementary prong and opening means respectively, so formed as to inter-engage with a snap, and non-removable relationship. The body member further is molded with front positioning means for the spring clamp. In addition, a rear post for elevating or tilting the formed knot forwardly, or more horizontally, is also molded integrally with the body member for improving the appearance of the knot. As a result, it remains only necessary to snap the spring clamp into place without requiring any riveting or the like, while nevertheless producing a more firmly and better operating support assembly.
