Abstract: An object of the present invention is to provide a glove in which a hand can be easily inserted and removed through an opening and which is less likely to shift from a suitable position when the glove is in a wearing state.

Abstract: A camouflage system and methods of making camouflage systems. The camouflage comprises a series of image layers that are sequenced and superimposed to create a repeatable composite image that reduces visibility to first set of sensors (e.g., an animal's eyes) while enhancing visibility to a second set of sensors (e.g., a human's eyes). The camouflage includes a base set of layers that may be used to mimic a macro-environment, a pattern layer, and a detail set of layers that may be used to mimic a microenvironment. The camouflage may be presented in various color schemes, with one suitable scheme being a range of colors centered around safety orange (Pantone 152) and a range of colors from grey to black.

Abstract: A glove that is adaptable to conform to hands of various sizes is presented. The glove includes one or more stretchable gussets and an edge panel that connect a back-side to a palm-side of the glove. A thenar panel on the palm-side is coupled to portions of the one or more gussets and to portions of the edge panel. The one or more gussets are also attached to a wrist panel that includes a closure element on the back-side of the glove. A finger panel on the back-side of the glove is coupled to portions of the one or more gussets and to portions of the edge panel. A palm section on the palm side and a back section on the back-side include one or more stretch materials that improve the fit of the glove.

Abstract: A gripping apparatus is disclosed. A gripping glove comprises a wrist band which can be secured with hook and loop fastener patches, and a palm strip with finger loops. The palm strip may be divided into three different strips and allows a comfortable grip during sport activities.

Abstract: The present invention relates to handwear or a glove to be worn on a user's hand. More particularly, the present invention relates to methods, systems, devices, and mechanisms for securing handwear or a glove to a user's hand. Even more particularly, the present invention relates to methods, systems, devices and mechanisms to create a custom fit of the handwear or glove to the user's hand in multiple dimensions or directions. The invention further relates to various types of fasteners and configurations adapted to create a multiple-dimension or multiple-direction custom fit securing the handwear or glove to the user's hand.

Abstract: Apparel, sporting equipment, and other items include magnetic securing systems (e.g., for holding a ball marker on a golf glove. Housings for such systems include a mount area defining a base surface that includes a magnet or is made from a magnetic material. At least two retaining walls extend from the mount area and together with the base surface define a receptacle for receiving another component (e.g., a golf ball marker) to be held by magnetic force. In such housings, a combined total perimeter length of interior surfaces of the retaining walls around the receptacle may be less than 50% of a total length around the perimeter of the component being held.

Abstract: An energy absorbing receiving glove constructed with a substrate having an exterior surface and a complementary interior surface. The substrate is used in constructing a palmar portion of the glove. The glove may incorporates a gripping layer of material affixed to the exterior surface of the substrate. Further, the glove may incorporate an energy absorbing layer of material affixed to the interior surface of the substrate. Additionally, the energy absorbing layer of material may have both a first thickness in a first location and a second thickness in a second location of the substrate. In an embodiment, the energy absorbing material is a silicone gel and the gripping material is a silicone material. Additionally, the varied thicknesses of the energy absorbing material may be effective for covering a palmar side of joints located on a hand wearing the glove.

Abstract: Gloves usable to engage a bowstring can include a glove body having a collar, strap, or band integrally attached thereto between interior and exterior layers of material. An adjustment feature of the collar can extend through an opening in an exterior layer of the glove body, and a bow engagement member engaged with the collar can extend through another opening in the exterior layer of the glove body. The bow engagement member can be movable between a first position in which the bow engagement member extends in a first direction, and a second position in which the bow engagement member extends in a second direction generally opposite the first. A fastener can engage and retain the bow engagement member in the second position.

Abstract: A fishing finger protection apparatus is disclosed that provides protection for an index finger of an angler during casting with a spin reel fishing rod. The finger protection apparatus includes a finger guard, a strap and a wrist band. The finger guard receives a distal end portion of the index finger of the angler in an approximately form fitting relation. The finger guard includes a first portion, opposing sidewalls and a back portion. The first portion protects the palmar side of the index finger and the sidewalls protect the sides of the index finger. The back portion can stretch to accommodate the size of the finger of the angler. The strap connects the finger guard and the wrist band.

Abstract: A glove comprising integrated features specifically designed for use while ice fishing is herein disclosed. An outer covering comprises a durable material of construction, such as leather, that stands up to the rigors of ice fishing and is also coated with a flexible plastic coating to help keep a user's hands dry. The glove is lined for warmth. A finger tip region of the glove is left open to allow the passage of a user's digits, thereby allowing dexterity when tying lures or handling fishing line. A palm region comprises an integral and retractable ice pick, which extends outward from the side of the palm, opposite the thumb, and is automatically gripped when the user closes their hand and makes a fist. The pick is extended by a spring-loaded mechanism that the user locks in place for safety. As such, the ice pick can be used to safely pick through any ice at a fishing hole or be used for similar ice-related tasks.

Abstract: Apparatus and method for holding tools securely with a grip assist are provided. A preferred grip assist preferably includes a wristband having a strap and buckle, a first strap attached to the wristband with a hinge. The first strap also has a ring attached to an end of the strap opposite the hinge. Behind the ring on the first strap, is a first segment of a two segment closure system. A second strap is also attached to the wristband with a second hinge. The second strap has a second segment of the two segment closure system attached to an end opposite the wristband. The two segment closure system is closed to form a grip assist position. The second strap can be held open by a secondary two segment closure system to form an open position.

Abstract: A fly fishing glove stabilizes a wearer's wrist and does not allow the wrist to bend or twist, thus providing longer and more accurate casts. The glove may include a palm side stabilizer, a backside hand stabilizer, and an ulnar side stabilizer. When the glove is worn, two straps, one in the glove body and one in an arm cuff of the glove, secure the glove and the stabilizers in position. The stabilizers may limit, minimize or prevent movement of the wearer's wrist and may provide a wrist position ideal for casting a fly fishing line.

Abstract: A hand-mounted carrier is provided comprising a panel member overlaying at least a portion of the back of the hand. The carrier includes an upper surface facing away from the hand and a lower surface facing toward the hand. The upper surface defines a mounting area thereon for securing at least one accessory. At least one loop member is attached to the panel member for at least partially wrapping around at least one finger of the hand to partially anchor a portion of the panel member to the hand. At least one strap is attached to the panel member for at least partially wrapping around the wrist of the hand to anchor at least a portion of the panel member to the hand.

Abstract: An archer's hand support structure apparatus and method of use is disclosed to help stabilize an archer's hand during string draw and string release of an archer's bow. The archer's hand support structure apparatus includes a band of flexible material adapted to encase the archer's hand, the band having a first edge portion extending adjacent to an archer's distal hand portion and a second edge portion extending adjacent to an archer's proximal hand portion. The band also includes an aperture therethrough disposed substantially adjacent to the first edge portion for receiving a thumb of the archer's hand. Further included is a stiffener positioned adjacent to the band, the stiffener also extending lengthwise substantially from the band first edge portion to the band second edge portion and the band also includes structure for removably engaging the band from the archer's bow.

Abstract: An improved fishing accessory for use in fishing operations. The fishing accessory comprises a housing configured to be affixed to a user's hip or waist via an item of clothing. The housing may further include a retractable fish gripping-glove and a tool such as a fish hook-extraction member.

Abstract: An improved mitt for cold weather use is configured to provide a variety of modes of wear. The mitt is convertible between a fully closed position for covering the hand and fingers and open positions for exposure of the thumb and/or finger(s) or the entire hand. An internal pocket within the mitt permits continuous or intermittent warming of all or some of the fingers when the mitt is in either a generally open position or closed position. Insertion and removal of fingers and thumb relative the internal pocket is easily accomplished without use of the other hand. A thumb hole and/or finger hole for thumb/finger exposure is formed with an overlapping two-layer seal of stretchable material to prevent heat loss while ensuring easy thumb/finger insertion and removal. In one embodiment, stretchable fillets connect the terminal ends of the palm side and back side of the mitt to provide a snug fit about the wrist.

Abstract: A glove for use in archery with a bow string release mechanism includes a finger section and a base section. The finger section includes a series of finger and thumb sheaths. The base section has an upper edge connected to the finger section and a lower edge defining an opening, and includes a palm portion having a first recession extending from the opening toward the finger section and a back portion opposite said palm portion, the back portion having a second recession extending from the opening toward the finger section. A connecting strap is affixed to the base section proximate the opening, with the connecting strap having a length to extend around the base section and close the first recession for secure and comfortable engagement of the bow string release mechanism.

A plurality of tubular ammunition sleeves are secured in parallel spaced relation to the back of the hand face of the palm sleeve. Each ammunition sleeve has a first end and a second end. Each ammunition sleeve is adapted to receive a single shell cartridge with a base of the shell cartridge oriented toward the first end of the ammunition sleeve. When ammunition is carried in the ammunition sleeves of the glove described above, it is much safer than carrying a loaded gun while crossing rugged terrain.

The rappeller's glove is made up of a portion of film form material that covers the user's palm; digit portions extending outwardly from the palm portion, and preferably extending only partially up the digits that they are intended to cover, that are made up at least partially of film form material; a plurality of effectively discrete padded areas disposed on said palm portion; and a protective film overlay disposed over said discrete transverse padding areas adhered by stitching or otherwise to the palm portion to thereby define the plurality of padded areas, and covering an area including the place where the fingers and the main body portion of the user's hand are joined. Means to hold the glove tight against the wearer's wrist are disposed at the base of the glove. A composite of a rappeller's glove overlying a shooter's glove is also disclosed.

Abstract: A handgun aiming comprises a wrist and hand stabilizer configured for substantially fixing an orientation of a wrist of a user relative to a hand of the user. The device also comprises a fastener configured for fastening the stabilizer to both the wrist and the hand of the user. The fastener may also be configured for fastening the stabilizer to a finger, a palm, a wrist, and/or a gun. In addition, the device may comprise a light means for illuminating a target and/or shock mitigating means such as gel, neoprene, or a fibrous filler. Accordingly, the device improves consistency and stability when aiming and firing a handgun without compromising the speed at which the user may receive and release the handgun and without encumbering the movement of the user's arm. The device and method may also be effective in reducing the occurrence of injuries to a handgun user.

Abstract: A gunn cut glove construction in which a pre-curvature at selected locations, preferably around the joints, in the fingers is achieved by sewing wedges of material into cut portions of the gunn section so that the shortened fingers and larger back sections easily meet at and can be joined without the need to gather or moccasin material resulting in the shape of the finger being such that it curves forward towards the palm section. Increased volume at the fingertips of a gunn cut construction glove is achieved by darting the palm side pieces of fingers proximate the fingertips. In addition, to reduce the inflexibility of gloves when curled into a fist, an elliptical piece is removed from the palm portion of the glove and the sides of the elliptical piece are sewn together along a seam.
