Abstract: An expandable headband includes an elongated, pleated-fabric cover having two opposing ends, a front edge and a rear edge. The two opposing ends are interconnected with an elastomeric strap for securing the cover over the head as with a conventional headband. To form a sun visor, a wearer pulls an extendable support rod at the front edge to expand the cover beyond the forehead.

Abstract: A deployable head covering device for selectively covering a portion of a user's head includes a band that has opposing ends. The band is resilient. The band is arcuate such that the opposing ends are proximately positioned. The device includes a panel with a top end that is complementary to the band. The top end is coupled to the band. The panel is flexible. The panel is reversibly positionable between furled and unfurled configurations. The opposing ends are configured to reversibly separate, such that the band is configured to reversibly couple to a head of a user. The panel is configured for selective positioning in the unfurled configuration, such that the panel selectively covers a portion of the head of the user.

Abstract: Provided are a protective headwear and method of manufacturing the headwear. The headwear includes a body, band and plurality of protective inserts. The body has a tubular shape with an opening and a crown, and is configured to fit a head of a person. The band extends from and about the opening of the body to the interior of the tubular shape and partially toward the crown. The band is free floating with respect to the body and configured to fit the head of the person. The band includes a plurality of pockets disposed about a base stitching of the band. The protective inserts are configured to be received into the pockets to provide a protective function to the head of the person. The protective inserts are disposed adjacently to one another about the band and extend from the base stitching of the band to the crown of the body.

At least one anchoring member is positioned proximate the one of the first end and the second end of the closure member to which a corresponding locking member is anchored, with each anchoring member being movably secured to the corresponding locking member.

Abstract: A hair protection bag with a first opening and a method for using the same are provided. The hair protection bag may have an open perimeter, a band around the open perimeter and a first opening associated with the bag. The band may be detachably connected to the open perimeter using an adhesive. The first opening may have a fastening system associated therewith to fasten, un-fasten and/or re-fasten the bag. The hair protection bag may further have a second opening associated with the bag. The second opening may have a fastening system associated therewith to fasten, un-fasten and/or re-fasten the bag. A cotton band may be attached to the open perimeter of the bag to prevent treatment solution from leaking from the bag. The first opening associated with the bag may be, for example, a zipper or hook and loop fasteners. The second opening associated with the bag may be, for example, a zipper or hook and loop fasteners.
