  • Patent number: 4817210
Abstract: A protective coat for firefighters comprises an outer shell, an inner liner and a flap. The outer shell has a front and back portion defining a neck opening and right and left sleeve openings, and right and left sleeves attached to the right and left sleeve openings, the back portion having a lower edge. The inner liner also has a front and back portion defining a neck opening and right and left sleeve openings, and right and left sleeves attached to the right and left sleeve openings, the back portion having a lower edge. The sleeves of the inner liner are insertable within the sleeves of the outer shell and the neck openings are coincident so that the inner liner is secured within the outer shell. The flap is extendable downwardly in a first position below the lower edge of the back portions of the outer shell and inner liner and is foldable upwardly in a second position thereabove to provide a visual indication that the inner liner is missing.

  • Patent number: 4637612
Abstract: A club-swing marker assembly includes a flat base member (18) permanently affixed to the front shoulder area (16) of a shirt (12) and covering a relatively large area thereof but having a fastening means (29) thereon for cooperating with a releasable fastener means (40) of a marker member (20) which can be easily and repetitively moved about on the base member (18). The fastening means is a hook/loop fastener pair. A marker element (36) on the marker member (20) contacts the chin area of a sportsman at a predetermined point during a swing of a club thereby providing a distinctive sensation which indicates to the sportsman that such contact has been made so that the sportsman will be aware that a correct club-swing position has been achieved. The marker element is constructed of a humped hook-fastening member to form an indicating ridge having fastening hooks thereon for contacting the sportsman's chin.

  • Patent number: 4131955
Abstract: This involves a laminate having preferably a 15 mil layer of cloth such as especially a 65-35% blend of polyester and cotton, a 2.5 mil layer of non-creped paper tissue, and in between them an 8 mil layer of low density polyethylene which has penetrated into the paper just short of appearing on its face, and a corresponding amount into the cloth. It will preferably be bonded together by ten seconds bonding time at 435.degree. F under ten psi platen pressure. The laminate is especially useful as an inexpensive non-curling product for use as emblems, especially where it is intended to be put into a Merrow sewing machine for special stitching and then sewn onto the garment on which it is intended to be displayed.

  • Patent number: 4089722
Abstract: A carrier sheet contains a plurality of vertical and horizontal lines of perforations which intersect to define a plurality of substantially rectangular subsections each containing a heat releasable indicia upon a first side and a series of vertically spaced parallel guide lines upon a second oppositely disposed side. The indicia are correlated with the oppositely disposed parallel guide lines and with the subsection side edges to facilitate alignment and spacing with adjacent subsections containing indicia. Selected subsections are selectively removed from the carrier sheet and aligned upon a receiving fabric surface where the indicia directly engage and become permanently bonded to the fabric surface in response to heat. The carrier subsections are selectively removed from the fabric receiving surface following the application of heat and curing leaving the indicia permanently bonded to the fabric surface in predetermined alignment and spacing with adjacent indicia.
