Abstract: A belt-type garment for carrying tennis balls and the like is provided, generally as follows. A belt portion has front and rear surfaces and devices thereon for removably fastening the belt portion around the waist of a wearer. A longitudinally extending pocket portion is provided for carrying at least one of the balls and has front and rear sections joined at the bottoms and sides thereof to define a generally U-shaped, transverse, cross-sectional configuration. The top of the rear section is secured to the rear surface of the belt portion in a pleated arrangement for defining a plurality of successive pleats extending downwardly therefrom. An elongate elastic strip is secured in the stretched condition to the top of the front section of the pocket portion for defining, when the elastic strip is relaxed, a plurality of successive gathers extending downwardly from the top of the front section.

Abstract: A pair of beltless trousers or slacks with a novel means of support, which permit the trousers or slacks to present a distinct and attractive appearance. A pair of trousers in accordance with the present invention relies upon neither belts, elastic or foam elastomer bands nor suspenders for support. Instead, the inner flap of the fly of the trousers or slacks is formed into a large, wide inner tab, tapering from a longer vertical side to a shorter vertical side. The shorter vertical side is detachably connected to the stiffening elements and the curtain liner on the inner wall of the left pocket, that is, the side of the waistband corresponding to the outer flap of the fly. This construction permits utilization of pockets which are connected solely to the curtain liner and stiffening elements, and which open to the top.

Abstract: This invention describes apparatus and method for constructing an outer garment capable of being converted to a tote bag. The coat comprises a full belt forming an upper half and a lower half. The lower half has a pair of deep pockets having zippered openings on the uppermost portion only. The uppeer half also contains a pair of deep pockets having zippered openings on both the uppermost portion and the lowermost portion. Snap hooks located on the back of the collar and the back portion of the coat in the area of the belt are adapted to snap together thereby defining an equal upper and lower half. The coat is folded about the belt portion and hooks located on the outermost portion of the deep pockets are connected together thereby exposing the upper deep pockets on one side of the belt and the lower deep pockets on the other side of the belt. The belt is adjustable allowing the user to wear the tote bag over a shoulder or to hold the belt as a conventional bag.

Abstract: A pair of dress pants or slacks has a wide and deep pocket across the front between the center creases on the legs. The pocket has a top opening with a slide opening and a lower end flap that is not attached directly to the front of the pants or slacks. On men's pants this flap covers an opening in the front of the pants just above the crotch.
