Abstract: A pants garment having a pad retention member and liner sewn in place within the crotch and lower seat portion of the garment. Lines of stitching define rear and frontal pockets within which are retained resilient pads which cushion muscle and tissue of the anatomy subjacent the pelvis. Unstitched segments of the main member and liner provide openings for insertion and removal of the pads which may be of selected thicknesses to provide the desired amount of cushioning. Paired rear pads cushion the ischium of the pelvis while a forward pad cushions the pubic structure of the pelvis. Unfolding of the pads subsequent to pocket insertion contributes toward pad retention.

Abstract: A health care personnel uniform of light-weight material including a jacket or blouse for the uniform having a conventional type of breast pocket. At the bottom across the full width of the blouse is a pocket panel with a vertical seam in the center to form two pouch pocket compartments. The bottom portion of the pocket panel has a separate piece of material for reinforcing the bottom of the pocket which is integral with the hemline along substantially the full width of the blouse. The pouch pocket openings are set at a convenient angle for entrance of the hand into the pocket and disallowing objects from falling out of the pockets.The outboard pant pockets have similar closures as the outside blouse pockets and like all pockets the bottoms are reinforced.

Abstract: A jacket structure comprising a front, a back, interconnecting side panels, a collar and sleeves, the front of the coat or jacket having two layers of material sewn together at appropriate locations to create upper and lower contiguous side-opening pockets on each panel of the front of the jacket. A common access to the upper and lower jacket pockets is closed along a seam by one closure means at each side of the front panel, which closure means serves one or both pockets.

Abstract: An emergency medical services (EMS) system for delivering primary care and emergency treatment by EMS personnel is provided by personnel vest jackets constructed and organized for carrying EMS equipment and supplies in wearable and accessible arrangement. The vest is formed with a plurality of outside pockets on the front left and right sides of the vest with first and second large outside pockets across the front bottom left and right sides for carrying bulkier EMS equipment and materials at lower center of gravity. Intermediate size pockets are arranged across the center left and right sides of the vest for carrying intermediate and smaller size EMS supplies. Small upper pockets at least some of elongate configuration are formed on at least one side of the front top of the vest for accommodating objects of elongate configuration. Loop holders are also provided on at least one side of the top front of the vest for holding airways.

Abstract: A vertically stacked double pocket is provided on tennis shorts or the like. The pocket has an upper and lower section and an elastic band at the top of each section. The pocket is closed at the bottom and sides and open at the top of the upper section. The lower section communicates with the upper section. A tennis ball or the like may be inserted and retained in the lower section and another may be inserted and retained in the upper section.

Abstract: A garment pocket construction comprising a normally open pocket into which objects are placed, an adjacent normally closed pocket, and a pouch connected to both pockets, the normally open pocket communicating with the pouch through a small opening through which small objects placed in the normally open pocket drop into the pouch, the normally closed pocket being open to the pouch for retrieval of the small objects dropped into the pouch. The normally closed pocket is provided with a closure which is opened to gain access to the pouch through said normally closed pocket.

Abstract: A first wall and a second wall coact with a portion of a head covering section of a head covering to define an inner pocket and an outer pocket. The first wall is taller than the second wall to define a flap-forming portion; and a fold in that first wall permits that flap-forming portion to be moved outwardly over and downwardly below the level of the upper edge of the second wall to block the entrance to the outer pocket. That fold has a curved configuration in plan view so it tends to hold the flap-forming portion adjacent the outer face of the second wall as long as that fold exists. When the flap-forming portion is moved upwardly away from the outer face of the second wall to a position wherein it is generally in register with the lower portion of the first wall, a curved configuration of that lower portion of the first wall will resist movement of that flap-forming portion outwardly over and downwardly below the level of the upper edge of the second wall.

Abstract: A pair of dress pants or slacks has a wide and deep pocket across the front between the center creases on the legs. The pocket has a top opening with a slide opening and a lower end flap that is not attached directly to the front of the pants or slacks. On men's pants this flap covers an opening in the front of the pants just above the crotch.
