Abstract: A method for attaching a race-number bib having two spaced-apart holes to a race-number belt having a belt component with two spaced-apart snap-fastener subassemblies includes the step of providing two retrofitting cord-fastener assemblies such that each cord-fastener assembly has a cord with a mating snap-fastener subassembly on its proximal end. The method proceeds by snapping (i.e., attaching) the two mating snap-fastener subassemblies into engagement of the two snap-fastener subassemblies on the belt component, threading the distal ends of the cords through the holes in the race-number bib, and placing locking components onto the cords to secure the bib. A race-number belt constructed according to another aspect of the invention includes both snap-fastener assemblies and bib-attaching cords, with the proximal ends of the cords secured by the snap-fastener assemblies.

Abstract: The girdle comprises two parts or halves (1-2), connected to each other by means of elastic elements (3) covered by adornments in the form of shells (6) coaxially interconnected, or any other type of unitary or fragmented adornment, wherein the plastic elements (3) are fastened to the parts (1) and (2) by means of pivots (7) selectively usable in order to vary the effective length of the girdle, length which also varies depending on the elasticity of the elements (3). Each said part or half (1) and (2) incorporates at the free end and back face thereof hooks (5) for fastening to the clasps (4) of the garment, in such a way that said elastic elements (3) cause traction between the clasps producing the girdling of the garment. The middle area of the elastic elements (3) or more specifically of the adornments encapsulating same, is visible when the parts (1) and (2) are substantially spaced, directly affecting the appearance of the girdle and constituting a changeable element.

Abstract: A belt extender for installation on a belt with a removable buckle comprising a main body with a first end and a second end, a metal tab fixedly attached to and extending from a first end of the main body of the belt extender, and a longitudinal slot roughly centrally disposed on the main body of the belt extender. The main body folds over itself at a fold line that extends through the center of the longitudinal slot and is secured in place with snap fasteners to create a folded end. A belt buckle comprising a tongue and a frame is installed on the folded end of the belt extender by sliding the frame of the belt buckle over the second end of the belt extender and inserting the tongue through the longitudinal slot prior to folding. The metal tab is inserted into a longitudinal slot on the buckle end of the belt strap and rotated so that the main body of the belt extender is aligned with the belt strap on the buckle end of the belt.

Abstract: Accessory for attaching to a garment includes an elongate, flexible strip and attachment elements each arranged at a longitudinal end of the strip and partially within the strip. Each attachment element adjustably engages with the sheet or sheets of material at respective locations. Upon engagement of attachment elements at the respective locations on the garment, the strip connects the locations together, maintaining them in a stable, spaced apart relationship. In order to hem a pant or temporarily shorten a sleeve, the accessory's strip is attached via one of the attachment elements at a first location, and then the other attachment element is attached at a second distal location. The strip is positioned within the pant hems, temporarily reducing the circumference thereof. To do so, it should be wrapped over the front area of the ankle to maintain the back hem, or inside the sleeve linings on the seams adjustably placed.

Abstract: A reversible belt with a slide buckle. One end of the reversible belt is thick enough to prevent the slide buckle from sliding there off so as to be retained thereon without looping the one end of the reversible belt. The other end of the reversible belt is thin enough to allow the slide buckle to slide there off so as to be replaceable on the reversible belt without compromising the structural integrity of the reversible belt, thereby allowing the slide buckle to be slide there off, the reversible belt reversed, and the slide buckle slide back thereon so as to allow the reversible belt to be reversible without looping of the one end of the reversible belt and without compromising the structural integrity of the reversible belt.

Abstract: The short belt has a free end and fixed end with a buckle or other fastener adjacent the fixed end. The belt is formed of an elongate body of flexible material which can be secured to the buckle or other fastener to cause the belt to have a fixed circumference less than a diameter of a garment with which the belt is to be used. The short belt is routed through at least two loops on a garment with the short belt first being routed under the loops and then being routed over the loops and fastened into a circuit utilizing the buckle or other fastener. The circuit thus passes both under the loops and over the loops with a single circuit having a circumference less than a circumference of the garment adjacent the loops on the garment.
