Abstract: Wrap-style breast-supportive tops comprise an outer fabric layer, an inner fabric layer coupled to the outer fabric layer and positioned to be between the outer fabric layer and a wearer when the wearer is wearing the wrap-style breast-supportive top, and a fastening system. The top is either a right-side out top or a left-side out top, with the fastening system configured to secure a left edge of the inner fabric layer adjacent to the right side of the wearer's upper torso and a right edge of the inner fabric layer adjacent to the left side of the wearer's upper torso.

Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to various embodiments of an adjustable bra, or sports bra. The bra includes a front portion, side portions and a rear portion. Two straps extend between the front portion and the rear portion. The bra further includes a chest band which extends about its lower perimeter. The bra additionally includes a corset mechanism. The various embodiments of the bra disclosed herein are adjustable in at least four ways to suit any size and any activity. First, the wearer may adjust the diameter of the chest band. Second, the wearer may adjust the length of the straps. Third, the wearer may adjust the position of the straps (i.e., whether crossed). Finally, the user may adjust the corset mechanism to vary compressive forces on the breasts. In various embodiments, each of these adjustments is made from the front of bra and without requiring removal.

Abstract: Described herein are multi-layered fabrics that can be used to absorb perspiration. In certain aspects, these fabrics can be used to control, reduce, or prevent perspiration from bleeding through and being shown on the outer surface of a garment. For example, these garments can include, but are not limited to, a multilayered fabric having at least a first fabric layer configured to wick moisture away from a person's body, at least a second fabric layer configured to absorb the moisture, and at least a third fabric layer that does not absorb moisture. As further described herein, various antimicrobial agents can be included in at least one fabric layer. These antimicrobial agents can be used to reduce or prevent the growth of microbes in and/or on the fabric, and these antimicrobial agents can be used to reduce or prevent odors derived from odor producing microbes. The multi-layered fabric described herein can be used to make garments or portions of garments.

Abstract: A garment includes a non-bamboo fabric body portion that has at least one high perspiration area. A bamboo fabric member is affixed to the high perspiration area. In a method of making a lower undergarment, a piece of non-bamboo fabric is cut so as to form an unassembled panty having a crotch member. A piece of bamboo fabric is cut so as to correspond in shape to the crotch member. The piece of bamboo fabric is affixed to the crotch member. The unassembled panty is sewn so as to form a completed panty.

Abstract: A garment deodorant stain protector and method are described. A garment deodorant stain protector may comprise two, distinct pieces—a right side member and a left side member. Each right side member and left side member may comprise a sleeve portion, a torso portion, and a neck portion. A method of protecting a garment from deodorant marks and stains while a person is dressing may comprise: putting on a garment deodorant stain protector; putting on the garment over the installed garment deodorant stain protector; and removing the garment deodorant stain protector.

The method includes the step of wearing, by the person, a disposable and sanitary upper garment that is made from a manufactured fiber in which the fiber forming substance is a long-chain synthetic polyamide in which less than 85% of the amide-linkages are attached directly (—CO—NH—) to two aliphatic groups.

Abstract: A foldable one-piece insert worn between the bra and the body having irritation reducing and/or absorbent material portions which line the bra cup and that lie under the supported breast, and portions which extends toward the torso rear under the bra side straps and a portion extending below the bra line along the torso. The invention further includes a material tab disposed between the material portions lining the bra cups, which can optionally be worn up to bridge the area between the bra cups for added protection, comfort and absorption of perspiration, or be folded down and out of sight when worn with lower cut neckline outer garments.

Abstract: An armpit sweat absorption system comprised of a disposable absorption pad that is placed inside a pocket located under the armpit of a conventional yet modified men and women's undershirt. The pocket, located at the arm pit location serves as an “under-pocket” to contain the disposable absorption pad. The under-pocket is a simple layer of undershirt material that reinforces the under arm and has room to hold the pad. The pad material is a composite of gauze-like cotton material suitable for absorbing moisture. The combined effort of under pocket and absorption pad is meant to absorb unsightly underarm perspiration and provide garment protection from clothes fading and discoloration due to sweating and deodorant stains that tend to drain through.

The garment, made primarily from hosiery material, includes tapered sides fastening in front between the breasts with adjustable, releasable fasteners providing adjustable support and lift, and having sub-pectoral support portions disposed in the tapered sides and covering and supporting the lower lateral and bottom portions of the breasts and the sub-pectorals. Garment may additionally include: support portions on the underside of the sleeves at the triceps; and armpit panels made from breathable or moisture-wicking fabric allowing for ventilation and moisture-wicking. To minimize slippage and displacement, the garment is secured to the brassiere straps by cloth strips attached at the shoulder area of the garment.

Abstract: An elastic upper-body undergarment that comprises a form-fitting body portion covering a shoulder region to a mid-torso region and two arm regions, and the body portion is made of elastic material, such as hosiery. The arm region has an absorbent material that is made of materials from panty liner and diaper materials to absorb sweat. The undergarment provides sweat protection to allow user for a tight, inconspicuous and comfortable fit.

Abstract: Multi-use strips can be applied to a variety of articles to absorb perspiration and protect wearable articles. The strips generally comprise a liquid permeable outer sheet, an absorbent medium, and a backsheet. Applied to the backsheet can be a fastening adhesive. A peel sheet can be attached to the backsheet that can be removed immediately prior to attaching the strip on a article. Other embodiments include attaching multi-use strip to a Velcro strip. In addition, embodiments include the distribution of a roll of material that can be cut to a desired length or provided in pre-cut stacks of the absorbent strips.

Abstract: The garment has sleeves that are wider than twice the distance between the wearer's shoulders and armpits. These sleeves form folds of sleeve material under the armpits that absorb perspiration and prevent staining the outer garment. Attached to lingerie, the sleeves have bights formed in the sleeve material. These bights prevent the sleeve material from gathering, or bundling, as the lingerie shoulder straps are adjusted to adapt to the wearer's physique, thereby establishing a smooth transition from the sleeves to the lingerie that avoids forming unsightly humps in the outer garment surface. When the sleeves are used with a body shirt, a crotch strap is provided on the body shirt to stabilize the body shirt on the wearer's torso and to prevent the body shirt from “riding up” on the wearer's torso during strenuous physical activity.

Abstract: An underarm perspiration collecting shield that is part of the construction of an undergarment. The undergarment, designed primarily but not exclusively for men, is comprised of a front and back torso section, sleeves that cover the upper arms, and a neck opening for the head. The perspiration collecting shield is constructed of three layers. The layer closest to the wearer's underarm is constructed of material consistent with that used to make the undergarment. The middle layer is constructed of absorbent material capable of absorbing a minimum of 2 fluid ozs of perspiration before becoming saturated. The middle layer is permanently bonded to a third layer of pliable waterproof material to prevent moisture from leaking through to the wearer's clothing. These three layers, as one item, are sewn into the underarm area of the garment, extending into the front and torso sections.

Abstract: A combination pouch and underwear pant is worn by a man for facilitating sexual activity such as lap dancing. The pouch is worn over the sex organs of a man under the underwear pant, which is adapted by an elastic waistband for compressively pinning the pouch in place. The pouch is made of a flexible and elastic material. A top edge of the pouch provides access to an interior of the pouch of a hand and wrist of the wearer so as to facilitate insertion of the wearer's sex organs into the pouch through an aperture, which encircles penis and scrotum. The aperture elastically compresses between a top surface at the base of the penis of the wearer and a bottom surface at the base of the scrotum of the wearer. With the pouch in place, the wearer is able to facilitate the capture of body fluids without fear of the pouch moving away from its preferred position relative to the torso of the wearer.

Abstract: An underarm perspiration shield that attaches to the shoulder strap of a wearer's undergarment. The elements of the present invention include an absorption pad suitable for absorbing perspiration from a wearer's armpit and two straps that are connected to opposite ends of the absorption pad. The ends of the two straps loop around the shoulder strap of the wearer's undergarment, and attach to the absorption pad through an attachment means. In a preferred embodiment the absorption pad is laminated with the side closest to the wearer's armpit being cotton and the side closest to the outer garment being PVC. Also, in the preferred embodiment, each of the ends of the two straps are attached to the absorption pad with a Velcro.RTM. hook and loop structure.

Abstract: This invention comprises a rigid, semi-rigid or flexible membrane upon which are located a plurality of raised projections or protuberances in a variety of possible geometric shapes. The membrane also has a plurality of vents or cut-outs which give stress relief for the membrane and act as air vents to provide ventilation for the comfort of the wearer. The device is adapted to be placed under the side panels of a woman's brassiere to aid lymphatic flow of the breast tissue lymphatic system by performing a massaging action and removing constriction on the axillary lymphatic vessels.

Abstract: A garment shield for preventing an underarm portion of a garment from being damaged or becoming unsightly as a result of perspiration. The shield has an absorbent layer of material, the absorbent layer of material being of a predetermined length and a predetermined width and being foldable substantially midway along the length thereof. The absorbent layer of material having oppositely opposed indentations at peripheral edges of the width at substantially where the shield is folded, and the indentations preferably being void of any sharp edges. A plurality of spreadable incisions are located in the absorbent layer of material, with each of the incisions extending radially inward from the peripheral edge of the shield and spaced apart from one another along the peripheral edge, and the indentations being void of any of the incisions.

The front, rear and lower panels of the shield sleeve section extend from the shield seam line over a portion of the garment sleeve section.

Abstract: A dress shield device comprising the combination of a vest type holder and a pair of removable dress shields. The vest holder comprises an over-the-shoulder strap and an adjustable chest strap leading around the torso of the wearer. The shoulder straps are stitched at the lower edge, providing a loop for each armhole of the vest holder. The shoulder straps are secured to the adjustable chest strap. The dress shields are attached by hook and loop strips sometimes known as VELCRO.TM. to the area of the vest holder worn next to the underarm area of the wearer.

Abstract: The underarm areas of shirts may be treated with a water-repellent material to render only the underarm areas of a shirt nonabsorbent of perspiration while yet permitting perspiration to transfer through the underarm fabric areas. A shirt so treated thus has underarm areas that are nonabsorbent of perspiration, and non-underarm areas which absorb perspiration in the usual manner.

Abstract: An underarm perspiration pad for being releasably secured within a garment (12) proximate the underarm area (14) of such garment for protecting the garment (12) from damage resulting from contact with perspiration and for absorbing perspiration from the underarm skin surface of a wearer of the garment (12). The pad (10) comprises a first exterior panel (16) and a second exterior panel (20) joined at their peripheral edges (26, 28) to enclose a perspiration absorbent filler (24). The first exterior panel (16) contacts the skin surface of the wearer of the garment (12) and serves to absorb perspiration from the skin from the wearer and to wick such perspiration to the absorbent filler (24) where it is retained. The second exterior panel (20) is fabricated of a perspiration impervious material and prohibits perspiration from contacting the garment (12). Further, the second exterior panel (20) is provided with means for releasably securing the pad (10) to the garment (12).

A dress-shielding element includes a body part composed of a web material and having two wing portions connected with one another in a transition region, and a mass of superimposed web material provided in the transition region and deformed so as to form a common concave edge line for both wings of the dress-shielding element.
